Controlling combat, however, is a pain in the ass until you get used to it.
I would have liked to see the allies behave a bit..smarter? I'm all for micromanaging one character, but often times I have to pause the action and micromanage all of them. I'm gonna have to go back to the tactics system and screw around with it some more, so that my warriors use their knockdowns more efficiently and such.
Also, I don't like that enemies are drawn to heavy armor. I put my 2handed warrior in the heaviest armor so that he'd have extra protection to make up for not having a shield. But that just makes enemies want to go for him instead. D:
And finally, if you choose anything but mage as your character's class, you don't get one until a pretty decent ways into the game. And Morrigan doesn't even know any healing spells to begin with, so you're going to be going through healing potions like candy..
Morrigan has healing in my game. There's that thing called level up, you know.:P
But yeah, I'd love to have a Spirit Healer specialized mage. Support chars are awesome.
I'd also just like if my other rogue (the elf one) could pick locks. Level up I guess, but it'll take a bit.
Game is awesome. Started with the dwarf noble. THE STORY IS EPIC.
I mean, the elf story rocks as well.
I didn't test out the human noble, or the wild elf, but Magi story is kinda fun.
What I've forgot to do tho, is get willpower for fatigue, so the damn warrior runs out of options. Ogre is pretty sweet. Morrigan and Alistair are just... Silly.
The rogue chick is necesary, but not really...
I mean, that dude fighter owns her every day. So the party is based with like... One mage and 3 fighters. Fun stuff huh?

Play the circle mage part. You'll get your spirit healer. And the rogue, yeah, he's kinda meh. Same for Alistair. I just found myself screaming at my screen 'STOP DYING YOU ****** DX'
So far I tried all beginnings. Like the Human noble the most. Got the Dalish to side with me, working on the dwarves (der be a vewy vewy tough boss there, can't get past Dx) and the circle of magi now. Magi is perhaps the easiest, but it messes your mind up big time.
@Blunt : The dog is awesome. You should try some dialogues with him at the camp. 'A half-eaten, putrid, hare, is not something a woman wants to find in her unmentionables.' 'Oh come on, he was trying to be nice. It's the thought that counts.'
Overall, loving the game. Ordered it. Though for some things you need to either think incredibly tactically or have enough muscle to bash through a 10 foot stone wall.
