Money is main thing why anybody flies transport ship. And pirate take that money. Traders always hated pirates. Nothing new there.

But turning train to battleship just to get revenge on pirate...hahahaha...nice move...maybe we should make movie from that story.

I hate pirates. They always talk about honor and bravery. Is it brave to take on a Prison Transport or Luxury Liner with four gunboats? That's freakin' overkill and totally lop-sided. Pirates have no honor. They scurry at the sight of ONE battleship. I think traders are brave just to put up with them!

I just took on a destoyer and two assault cruisers (and won:D). We all don't run, but you better believe if I'm in a fighter and a gunboat+ come after chasing me you bet I'll run. You can't scartch their shields with fighter guns and you can't pack a nova and stop traders.

i do enjoy taking my assault battlecruiser through chugoko when there are some pirates there, it's very funny when they scan you and see what you are...lol...run awayyyy!!

work in pairs one with cd and another with nova, once the shield of the target is down the guy with the cd can use the guns or missiles to destroy components.

@ Whoever said pirates always talk about honor: Pft... I'm looking more for the profit from some lone trader. Honor among thieves people. Ever heard that saying? Anyway, most of us pirates take on this profession as a means for survival. The house militaries and police are entirely too oppressive to our peoples. Piracy is both about profit (which you really can't get rich at) and about revolution. We want to see the houses fall.

Unseelie has a GC ID, and a LTrain, which, as i understand, opens her up to piracy form pretty much everyone on the server.....

She doesn't pay money....she runs, because it doesnt make sense in my RP to stop and let them board me...had that mistake too many times....i jettison my cardi for the SF, cause they have proven to be honest, but just about everyone else, should be trying to kill me...outcasts, lane hackers and lawfuls in bretonia excluded.....

Nah - I like the GC... I may be a pirate, but I don't kill those that would be my allies when needed.:)

most pirates ive seen are in fighters. i for one decided on a better option.

if fighters run from bs, im not surprised. its not a fighter can even scratch a bs. and a bs is now such a comon sight on the servers... :shok:

I mostly pirate in my Rogue Gunboat since most traders tend to just laugh at my fighter and their escorts tend to get in the way. With a gunboat, a trader is more likely to pay and go about his business and the escorts tend to be dispatched rather quickly.

There's really no since in taking on the militaries and police directly. They are more powerful and more numerous that we. Best way to cripple a giant is at his sources of food, income and comfort - hence a better target is the trade industry.

You must live a boring life Smash. I bet you haven't actually engaged in battle. We pirates aren't much interested in taking on the biggies. Since we can't pirate in capital ships, we fly mostly fighters and gunboats. We may have a capital ship here and there, but they're more for defense than offense. We're not intimidated by you folks, we're just not interested. There's no profit in it and we don't want to give you the pleasure of a conflict. So go let your battle cruiser rust in the docks. You'll not likely see much action.

For those that like to convert their trading vessels into battleships and such: Don't know why you do this. You planning to go to war with one of the houses? Or are you planning on joining the ranks of the house militaries? Whatever... If you've ever destroyed an NPC dreadnaught battleship, cruiser, destroyer or gunboat, you'd notice that dreadnaughts and battleships are commanded by Fleet Admirals, Cruisers are commanded by Commanders and gunboats are commanded by Captains. What's my point? Glad you asked... There's a whole lot of Fleet Admirals and Cruiser Commanders flying around. Ever heard the phrase, "too many chiefs and not enough indians?" I shouldn't be saying that since I am Cherokee, but anyway, you get my point.

the phrase was "too many chiefs and not enough workers"..you dont need to...npcs destroyers and BBs dont usually have shields (at least rogues and nomads).
