That means a possible two cruiser forward guns, 14 missile batteries, and two torps.
A little too much?
EDIT:
I am adding my way of balancing it.
Either (A) Remove one lvl 10 gun mount, and one torp, or (B) remove both of one of them. (i.e. two CD/T mounts, but no lvl 10 gun mounts)

You could set it up with that, but you'll get only 1 or 2 shots from everything :( (the 2 cruiser guns and all 14 missile turrets). I had 6 cruiser missile turrets and only had 5 or 6 shots with all 6 before the energy drained. plus I've finally managed to get 2 cruiser forwar guns for my huegenot and you naturally have to have your target if front of you to get a decent shot, I havent tried it on the NPC BS's yet :D but I will as soon as I can.
So personnally, if someone has 2 cruiser forward guns and 14 missile turrets on a huegenot I dont think there will have many shots at anyone  and they will get one hell of a roasting from people on the forum
Yes. But dont diminish the power output too much. we dont want it to became useless. like the marsflyer is now...
And about the mounts, you can made 1 mount for torpedoes and the other mount for disruptors...
Cruise disruptors for cap ships is a bad idea. Putting cruise disruptors on bs would diminish to zero any chance of escaping from it... A fighter, or train would be helpless against a BS. they would be unable to escape from it.
Instead, a torpedo mount is a better idea. Most space ships from sci-fi have torpedoes, it is the ultimate anti cap-ship weapon...
(If you find any mistake in my English, please let me know via a PM)
(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
So you did you know that the Huegenot is a cruiser and is able to mount cruise disrupters Korrd? I've killed some NPC BS's and the huegenot seems ok, it takes a lot to keep it aimed at a moving target so i still dont see what's wrong with it
I have two points. First the Solaris chaingun was supposed to be close to the damage of a BS turrets but is almost half as good. Increase the damage of the Solaris by adding about 40 hull and 20 shield dmg to the original. Also the energy cunsupmption is twice as big as the BS guns. I only shot about 7 times with a Huegenot cruiser before running out of energy. Take energy from 2000 to about 1000 or maybe a little bigger.
Also Yuo should just ban people from equiping the FW guns on other ships. They were meant to be used of the ship it came with. A Huenegnot has 14 turrets because it doesn't have a FW gun. If it has a FW gun it will be too powerful. Also the energy is just fine on the Huegenot. I bought 14 BS missile turrets for it and it could only shoot 8-9 missiles then the energy would be depleted.
Virus was harmed many many times in the testing of this ship.
the hugenot (higgaren bc) is meant to be a cruiser-like thing isnt it?
in homeworld 2 (ships origin) there are 2 ion cannons(main lvl10 gun)
and 6 turrets (kinnetic)
if this is the layout then it should be more like a battleship,
silvik and i are making out own 1, with turret graphic replacements and evrything, so if you want to use that one your more than welcome (when its finnished)
plus any other homeworld-related ships we produce (minus the ones we are trying to find origins)

Mostly by my own Novas.... I've never used the Nova before.... So cut me a little slack, will ya?
The Huegenot does have A LOT of turrets, and, therefore, probably doesn't need two lvl10 gun mounts AND/OR the two CD/T mounts.
I would suggest at least removing one of each, or both of one. It definately doesn't need two torpedoes to fire.... Especially since it is the only capship I know of with torp mounts.
I think the best way to balance it the most would be to remove both CD/T mounts, and one of the lvl10 gun mounts. Leaving it a possible forward gun and 14 lvl10 turrets....
I think I may have said something similar this elsewhere.
NO! Don't take the torp mounts off. The two torpedo mounts are the only thing that makes it as strong as a cruiser. Without them it is more like an anti-fighter gunboat than a cruiser. If you think you want to take a torp off it then make a poll first. without that second torp it'll be creamed by cruisers and BSs. especially because it doesn't have the energy to fire 1 BS turret more than 2-3 times. So either give it alot of energy or keep the torps. The torps are moe balanced though so I think you should just leave the torp. Korrd, Vtec, and I think Nesa agreed with me.
