' Wrote:I'm pretty sure it is already using a Liberty texture, it just has a color change. The problem is, it's wrapped badly.
Xing/Yue Fei was actually in the habit of taking vanilla textures and then editing them to his tastes. So that would be a Liberty texture he toyed with.
Heh, it almost seems that we should instead make 2 versions of the liberty dreadnought, One heavy replacing the carrier, and the current LN dread. The carrier is frankly, useless, and is balanced as a heavy bs anyway. MAy as well make the name DREADNOUGHT worth having.
' Wrote:Honestly, I'd rather replace the Carrier with a Ship that isn't a Carrier. Hopefully People would stop posting Things like:
Players need to dock on Carriers!
Carrier needs NPCs launching from it!
Stuff like that.
Funny thing is, Carriers always made more sense from Wing Commander on up. Freelancer tossed it out the window in favor of fuel-less fighters and shiny magic gates, but in RP they should still be applicable. They just aren't in-game. And don't say the battleships have enough hangar room: there's just no way when you look at their hangar sizes.

The same could be said for any station in the game.
You have a point, however since when was something called a Dreadnought and packed to the gills with massive guns also meant to double as a carrier for vast wings of fighters?
