The two large oaken doors to the office bursts open interrupting the meeting going on in the large board room. A man standing an easy 6' 5" with an imposing muscular figure and extremley neatly pressed military uniform rushes into the room with a thin vanilla folder grasped tightly in his hand. The cavernous ceiling makes the sound of the mans military boots echo around the open room. He approches Quan who sits in his ornate chair at the head of the table. He bows in customary respect to Quan and then presents the folder to him.
"Sir we see indications of ship movement in the Colorado system. The details are in the report." The large man states as he rises from his bow.
"Excellent job Lt. relay to Commander Ming to await my orders and to continue preperations." Quan replies in his confident tone. "You are dismissed."
The officer quickly salutes and snaps to attention before swiftly walking back out the door. Quickly the doors are pulled shut by two more armed military men waiting outside who resume their vigilant guard. Quan opens the envelope and pulls out the paper inside.
The envelope holds only three papers which Quan lays out in front of him. He picks one up and slips it into a slot in the table which makes a whirring sound then a hologram displays in the middle of the table. Lights quickly collide to creat the image of three star systems on the southern border of Kusari owned space. Quan stands up his lean but muscular frame creating an imposeing image for the ten others gathered at the table. He stands 6 feet tall with his light brown hair pulled back in a traditional pony tail. His green eyes scan the men with no emotion to them at all. His dark blue and black camoflauged unifrom give him an extremly militeristc image. His eyes scan the men then a smile cracks the corner of his mouth.
"Well men its seems the SF are getting nervous and are preping for the worst. Here (Quan points to the Keplar system) I have a trusted man waiting for them to make a purchase offer to the trusts in this system. So if they decide to move into this system we will know. Gallileo (he points to the right of Keplar) has no functioning bases along the trade lanes. Pirates run a lot in here and pirates can be baught. If they decide to move into Gallileo we will know. These two systems provide a buffer of invasion into Shikoku space. If they move to attack we will have plenty of time to react. I still want a small defense wing moved into Shikoku. I will have them patrol the jump gates. As far as trade goes. We have had few interruptions so far. Thanks to our AW allies we have ways around any blockades that might be placed. Colorado (points to the system at the bellow Keplar and Gallileo) shows little potential for invasion for us. The effort to move our fleets through the buffer systems and into Colorado would negate any stratigic value at this time. Hopefully this consoles your fears on this matter gentlemen and have a nice day."
Quan slowly gathers his three papers together and puts them back in his envelope as the men rise from their chairs and face him unanimously. Quan raises his eyes as each bows until all ten have showed the customary symbol of respect. Quan then bows and rises to greet them all eye to eye. "Gentlemen this concludes our meeting for the day."
A Large Train Transport burst through the Jumpgate to Tau 29. Normally, there would be nothing strange about that. However, there wasn't a lot 'normal' with this ship. First of all, it was a Republican ship. Secondly, it had a bit more armor that one would expect. Those were the only visible things, and easily explained away. It was the stuff under the hull that would have raised eyebrows.
First of all, the ship didn't have a lot of cargo space. The cargo containers in front and in back were fake, actually part of the hull. They also wern't hauling cargo. They were weapons bays, hidden from scanners by lineing the inside with Niobium. The center cargo containers were, in reality, little transports themselfs, designed to detach and land at a certain area. This was a Rhinland Navy Q-ship, designed to open up on unsuspecting pirates. So far, they had worked. No word got back to the Pirates about these Q-ships because no one survived to tell about them. The ship had an arsinal to rival that of any Gunb And the transports in the center... those were best of all.
They were trasporting a special cargo. Live cargo. Live, armed cargo. Live, armed, trained cargo. This cargo was the kind that made problems go away.
The Rhinland Q-ship, although very good, had high maitenance costs. The ship reached Freeport 6, when it's port engine sputtered, then spewed thick blck smoke.
"Freeport 6? This is Rupublican Black 82. We've suffered an engine failure here. Requesting permission to dock and make repairs."
"Roger that. Your cleared for docking point 3. If you want, we can send out a few ships to tow you in."
"No, I think..."
Then the other engine sputtered, and died.
"Uh... scratch that. Yes, we'de like a tow in, please."
One of the Zoners that was towing the ship noticed something. The lower middle cargo containers were gone.
"Black 82, what happened to your cargo pods?"
"Oh those? We dropped those off a Planet Harris. A bunch of Fertilisers for the terriforming operation."
"Oh."
Actually, only half of that was ture. They were dropped off at Planet Harris. But they didn't contain Fertilisers. Those containers, and the ones still on the ship, held Rhinlands best ground forces; The infamous 28th, the Black Leigon.

The Skipper of the Sirus Federation Starship Kerberos got out of his chair and walked over to the COMM Center.
"Lieutenant, send a burst transmission to Federation HQ. High priority, narrow beam. Message reads: We have arrived at Stokes. Awaiting further orders. Kerberos out."
"Aye, aye sir" said the busy lieutenant. With just a few punches of the buttons on her console, the message was sent. "Message relayed sir!"
Now here's hoping a conflict can be avoided... thought the skipper. He knew he was dreaming a fantasy world at that point... Conflict was inevitable.

Today, Acting Chancelor Kreig made the announcement that Rhinland was finaly getting back on it's feet. He thanked the AW for their aid in the matter, and said they would be compensated once everything was back to full capacity and the Chancelor was returned to her awaiting Rhinland. He also stated that Rhinland's blockades were being lifted somewhat. Only tradeships are now allowed inside Rhinland space, as are the allies of the RM, the TG and SF. While progress has been made, there is still much to be done. New Berlin suffered extensive damage from falling debreis, the Rhinland Military has been cut down from their once outstanding military position, and the Traitor Vakklus is still at large.
This is Kane for the Galexy News Network, signing off.
