I was flying through unknown with DBoy. I wasn't told about the Nomads and pirates so I just cruised along my marry way. He was flying along and he said as I died "Watch out for the Nomads..."
Regret: Flying through Unknown with DBoy. This also acts as a warning to any other new player here that meets DBoy outside Manhattan when you first launch into space with your first character for the first time on Discovery without playing single player.:crazy:
Situation: Tried to teach 13centkiller how to play Freelancer after transferring from Battlefield 2. He was to lazy to open Single player and went directly to Multi. Took him through Omicron Minor to get his first ship... He blew up just after I said "Watch out for the Nomads."
Regret: Attempting to teach 13centkiller something useful.:P
I have one I use to annoy people in big ships every now and then.
1: In manhattan wait till alot of liberty npcs are around.
2: Annoy the npcs.
3: Fly to the closest big ship with the 15+ npc fighters and about 6 capital ships behind me and take cover behind the PC.
Edit: And Ive never regret it.
Been here since Discovery 4.77 (lurk mode engaged)
Zapp Wrote:I have recently met and discussed with Atalawohisdi the trader that flies the Caribe. Just so everyone knows, I engaged in Sigma 13. He flies through half the system before going back to New Berlin, where he cruises from one side of the system to the other, hugging the sun as close as he can. All the while, he flies near Battleships trying to scrape me off. I finally send out the white flag, and move back to Sigma 13. However, it was a ruse, and he bit. Knowing his trade route, I interdicted the trade lane and the chase began anew. It ended, an hour after it began, with me retreating, out of Countermeasures and getting very irritated.
He kept boasting how he has never been caught; I'd like to see him beat until he begs to pay, then beaten some more.
When I was first starting I was impressed upon by a certain member, lets just leave it at BtK. Convinced me to make a Nomad char and we proceeded to PvP whore across Sirius. Luckily I was sanctioned and learned my lesson.
Regret: Being a dumb sheep....its very easy to do as a new player
I had just lost a long 1 on 1 fight. I happened to have my mercenary character docked at the same planet. I was pissed from kissing the guy's sunslayer so beautifully I wanted a reason to go out there and try again. People from my faction started showing up right after it.
I undocked and said, "I was going to offer you my services, but it seems you got it covered there."
One from my faction said, "If we can't handle it, he's all yours, mercenary."
The guy who had killed me, "I believe I have killed charactername already."
Me, "I'm just taking my honorable leave." *damn lie*
I then left the system.
My regret:
I was so frustrated I actually considered re-engaging.
My biggest regret:
Is selling my Carrier :( after i was sanctioned for not having an ID (for the love of .*.*.*. i was gonna buy one in the morning it was 4:20 AM then) and lost all weapons, cargo and credits. So i sold it 'cause i would have probably been fined again for not having BS license, and the second time it would be ban not sanction.
Situation 2 :Attacking a re-engaging destoyer. After we had fought he destroyed me so i said nothing and was on my way but several systems after that he attacked me again when i was undocking from a station. SO i opened fire.
Regret: not so much as a regret he was the one who re-engaged me. The regret is that i told the fighter pilot that was with him to leave. I did it out of RP as in a warning that i didn't want to kill him :$, not 'cause he was constantly slamming into my frigate (I didn't mid that gave me a better chance to hit the said destroyer (outcast):D).

:D
I remember this, respect to you Gronath. It takes a man to admit his mistakes.
That very same fight I was re-engaged 3 times by a player I had killed who was new on the server. Luckily Caylith was there and got him to stop and the player apologised explaining he was new. I said no worries and that was that.
Oh, and you were right! It was a beautiful sunslayer :yahoo:
