Nomad technology sound effects in vanilla were really alien, something strange and scary.

Great, look what I started =P I come up with a few sound effect proposals and now everyone wants to do it. Guess it's a good thing, we have no sound modders in disco as far as I know, kind of a lacking part of the mod.

Those were the 3 I came up with prior to this thread. Sorry hidamari, but i think the 3 sounds you proposed there are very... weak... not very intimidating or wow-ing at all.

Hidimari have made an entire library of new AWESOME sound effects to use instead the Disco vanilla ones, this is not different. Can you please stop thinking that all revolves around you?:P

On topic how ever: If I where to choose one I'd choose number 1. But I still think you ought to listen to mr Fletcher, he has a good point.

These sounds are too... metally... electronic, like Fletcher said.
The sounds are too heavy if you know what I mean. Nomad sounds, like the torpedo, are light. Maybe you should make a more 'impressive/threatening' sound but use nom torp sound parts? (Not using ALL of the sound) but do something.

But anyway I preferr 2.

i dont see how they sound "weak" compared to yours, or not very intimidating compared to yours, or wow'ing compared to yours.

so same sentiments to you too tbh, your sound effects are already used somewhere else, low quality and pitch distorted.

Anyway, this will only effect you if you use my sound mod which you didn't even know existed, so *shrug*


@Fletcher, you have a good point from vanilla standards, but again this is for my sound mod, and if you listen to the Human made Mortar SFX from my mod, which sounds like this

and then listen to the nomad SFX i proposed, one is clearly human made, the is other isnt, so in the context of all the other sounds changed in the sound mod, it fits well.
