i have a Phantom, that thing is funny to fly, but yes....a big too large for a LF, but in favor i have to say that is very responsive to maneuvers, also, the idea given of turning into a HF is rather good
the Hyena is THAT large? i knew that thing was big.... but now i understand the rants about it:)

If you really want to see something too large for lf then check Griffin, Hyena.
Also I would like to see loki/phantom size comparison if someone would be that kind. It's one of main phantoms opponents in LF class. They share other similiarities too such as: increased armor b/b's and torp slot. So instead of comparing phantom to VHF compare it to Loki. Loki is big for the light fighter as well, yet I saw no-one ever complaining that it's a bad ship.
Ever wonder why hardly anyone flies it? It's a nippy little b*stard if you can get the turning just right in a fight, JUST right. But on the other hand it's the only light fighter you can get away with mounting Rheinland weaponry on (which by the way is pretty fudgeing good). It's a suppressive tool as opposed to a lethal one.
I've seen a squadron of RFP officials neutralise three consecutive raiding parties in Berlin within an hour, caps and all. Which proves if you've got quick reactions and patience then you'l give a sabre a run for it's money in one of these things.

Aha!, and now is at par with the loki in terms of firepower, indeed, i would like to see the comparison, i have seen lokis and they're rather large for a LF

So please dont mess with my Phantom.
Perhaps. The Hessians can actually use something like this, but the Wraith kind of makes a 'heavy light fighter' fairly redundant. The Wraith is fast enough to get behind other VHFs fairly competently and, of course, has light VHF armament.
