We'd much prefer to sell artefacts to rich New Berliners and then buy food from Stuttgart, but sadly, I'm afraid that's not much of an option.
PvP/piracy factions tend to....pvp and pirate.
Same way mollys tend to pirate and pvp and be all molly.
Same way trading factions tend to trade and make credits.
Same way military factions tend to get into large-scale battles with other militaries.
*shrugs*
It's all a big mystery.
gone four years, first day back: Zoners still getting shot in Theta :|
While i agree on the evidence part, only the corsairs have bothered to complain. Why? because it doesent WORK. Zoners are a major rp-supply artery to the corsair empire. Treating unrelated indies as hostile is actually technically against the server rules since its non-cannon rp for corsairs to attack them openly. Plus In-rp its a dumb idea since the corsairs already have plenty of opponents.
Its not just shooting yourself in the foot, its taking the foot off with a dull hacksaw.

When the foot has gangrene, that's pretty much the only option.
Besides, the Corsairs won't suffer at all for it.
For why, you can see above.
I never claimed we were any better.
maybe a little bit though.

And what makes you believe that all zoners stopped supllying Crete "In-RP". Afaik zoners are quite independent from one another. Corsairs recognizes this as well. But even if they did so what? Death is everyday companion of corsair.. then you see death all the time you are no longer sensetive to threats of it nor death itself.
That "plenty of opponents" is just war with Hessians. That's it. Disco tried to introduce sairs with new war with outcasts, but that failed.
Hessians, outcasts, GMG, BD, GC, all of bretonia, mollies, unioneers, LWB, bundshuh...
Reguardless, its safe to say all zoners WOULD stop supplying crete if a kill-on-sight order was issued for every zoner flagged ship in existence. Seems sort of a deal breaker. Your comment makes me picture your avvie as really appropriate.

get with the times. i cant even remember fighting a dragon, gc or a LWB on any of my corsair ships. unioners are allied with the corsairs. mollies are something nobody from the corsairs give a damn about unless they are shooting them. the mollies think the corsairs nuked their planet? fine, up to them. they did not. deal with it. outcasts? please - that made-up war for the purposes of 'here, have something to shoot' pretty much turned the faction into retards, since both corsairs and outcasts had decent ships, plus the collosseum introduced between them was quite the opportunity to capfest.
the eta pass killed the sigmas activity, since most of this activity would originally be corsairs, outcasts, and gmg in there.
at the moment it is reduced, but that helps fudgeall from what i see.
so yes, the current concern are hessians. see cassablanca for reference. of course there are attempts to take over cambridge and stuttgart for obvious reasons. plus the artifact exchange still works in kusari afaik. so artifacts for food, yes. it works, miraculously. if the corsair populace would be in constant state of famine, some of them would die. simple as that. and the urge to bring in more food would decline until the next generation would increase the headcount. and the cycle repeats. it's natural regulation. of course nobody wants it to happen, but who will care about people on some irradiated rock behind god's arse? you all imagine that 80% of cretans die, once zoner convoys stop.
i won't even comment on that, really. get some realism into your head, ffs.
