[\JG/]Pim (mercenary, ex-IMG)(Raven's talon, New London and New Berlin mainly)
John Smith(independant trader, ex-contract killer on Manhattan)(Heavy Tanker)
here is the skinned version ( grey default skin ) - attached is a size comparisson with the BHG gunship - and the original homeworld kith somtaav. i kept the turret hardpoints roughly the same, but limited the torpedo slot some more - its not a bomber, the torp may well have a tighter angle than the original SHF.
the ship may appear quite bigger, but it is a lot flatter thant he homeworld design and still a lot smaller than the next shipclass. below is an ingame shot in dresden - there isn t much colour contrast there - everything is orange/brown there. - the BHG hammerhead is allmost colliding with the ship - so there you can see the difference in size with the little HF that has less than 1/3 of the SHFs armour, reactor and weapons. ( around 3 times bigger )
as announced, this ship has NO canopy, no distinct cockpit like other fighters. - the current kith somtaav has a sensor array instead - and this model features 2 optical lenses in the front and a flashlight along with a few antennaes. unfortunately the kith somtaav only has ONE engine effect .... so i was only able to attach one flame effect ... instead of the 5 i wanted to add. - but even so its OK.
yes - i think the kith somtaav line "only" has another freighter ( like one of those assault freighters ) - and a light fighter - i can make those, too - these kind of models aren t too hard, they re not too inspired and quickly textured.
Edit: better yet, I think Gigabyte has found himself a new ship!

this thing would be perfect for the alien character I was planning... nice scary-ish ship, no cockpit, lots of spikes and curves, very large - but not a capship.
Personally (not reading all of thread), I don't think this ship will fit into the Freelancer technological world. Its too, curved if thats the right word. Freelancer ships are mainly angular and blocky in design, at least when it comes to panels.
Freelancer ships give the feeling of the industrious mass produced feel, this ship gives off the feeling of a concept ship that will never see mass production any time soon with the Sirus economy.
Still, I like the ship's design, but I doubt it will fit into a Freelancer world.

the infocard for the homeworld ships DO say that they're based on recovered alien vessels from the borderworlds.
HUMAN ships are blocky and angular in design, doesnt mean alien ships are.
