I'm not really into the RPG genre, but I absolutely love this game. Quirky humor, simple battle system, good story and character development. I've probably played through it four or five times now, which is saying something as it's a rather lengthy game. Then again, I've owned a copy since it came out in the mid-90s, so I've had some time to play.
Also, for honorable mentions:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I and II
Donkey Kong Country 2
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Star Wars: Dark Forces
Super Mario World
Star Wars: Battlefront I and II
TES IV Oblivion is my all time favourite game (excluding FL of course). I've got to have played the whole thing through multiple times and I still haven't got bored. Other games I am addicted to would be: all the halo games, both GOW games (despite the repetitiveness) and fable 2. Suppose its cause I don't play those last three enough...
' Wrote:i llllllooooooooovvvvvvvveeeee medievel 2 total war, high graphic detail, one of the biggest campaigns ever, a 8GB expansion, in my opinion, the best stratergie game around
If you like Total War Medieval, go now and try Mount and Blade Warband. It is Totalwar+Age of Conan+COunter Strike. Best horse riding simulation, best story. You'll thank me.
It's not comparable to freelancer, it's different. It's very complex and detailed. I've been playing it since 2003 but it got so crowded that my style of pvp is not possible anymore. Only large scale battles count now(400-500 players)
I heard they were working on freelancer2 but it got canceled. I'd really like to see a mmorg with up to date graphics and balanced combat.
now I play a Risen - is very good game...
If You like a Gothic series (i talking about 1 and 2 + the Night of the Raven)
then this game will suits You... too bad they don't have a plans to make 2:(
Ultima 5... some...I roughly guess... 23 years ago.
Elite (first 1st person space shooter plus trade sim) => addiction to the genre
Dungeon Master
Wing Commander 1
Police Quest series
Doom 1 (could not sleep for several days after first exposure) =)
That's perhaps the most vivid childhood memories because at that time playing computer was so damn new and so great. =)
