I agree, sexism really isn't cool Scumbag.
Widow hardly abuses her power, she does her job just like the other admins. If not better.
(she makes great admin sandwiches too. jk)
I would like a Team of Admins that remain impartial to events that happen within the Game/Forum. If an Admin is involved, for example, in a Sanction Report involving a 'friend' or Faction Member, then they should remove themselves from that process so that they do not have a Conflict of Interests. They hold a position of responsibility and therefore should be honest to themselves and the Community. This would increase, hopefully, the 'Faith' that the Community should have in them.
I like the decisive actions of the Admins over the last week with the Hackers. This should continue whilst the Admins 'patrol' the game. I have dislike the 'idea' that Players can say that they have Admins in their 'Buddy Skype Channels' and can sort out problems for them. This seems to become Elitist of certain players when the Admin jumps instantly to their aid. But it has been useful (and no I don't have contact with any Admins) with the recent problems within the Game.
Normal Sanctions, in my opinion, should be decided by a group of Admins. None of us are infallible and so with a group of say 3 Admins (majority rule) the decision is made and it would take a majority yet again to reverse a decision. This would, hopefully, reduce the Sanctions happening/not happening due to 'friendships'.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
We always have this adjustment period when we get new staff, moderation and administration both. New minds and new hands that aren't a part of the normal flow come in, and it takes time for everyone to get in step. It happens every time.
In our case, this time we have a selection of people who are fantastically proactive. They're taking care of a lot of things that are visible and so you've got a number of opportunities to watch the adjustment period. It's not at all a show of disrespect, the actions they take, but the standards being taught. Some might say that's a good thing, others not.
Every time a new class is brought in, we have vultures who swoop in and try to take advantage of the new admins and their inexperience. Every time. And every time one or two slip through. It's just the nature of the position. Soon, though, they'll learn what to identify, how to spot these sorts of issues, who it is that's likely to be the cause of them, and how to communicate with the rest of the team and how to sift through Admin chat.
I have great faith in our newest Admins and their abilities. What we're seeing is not a lack thereof, only an on-the-job training in protocol and procedure. I hate that it's cast a shadow on anyone, but all I can ask is that patience be shown for the next week or two.

There used to be a time when admins were online visibly ingame, and people could PM them if they thought they needed them.
Now they can just be called by their Skype-buddies.
Its pretty obvious what that leads to.

Don't forget about the vultures who are sitting in the admin team and who make sure that their friends get in and their enemies stay out.
