I represent Aoi, however, I am asking for ideas about Wild in general. For example, this is because I am curious if any aspect of the roleplay needs to be looked at for the sake of creating better interactions.

I suppose this is more of a miscellaneous suggestion, but what about utilizing Medusa and Dulzian Codenames on your VHFs? They fire blue-purple projectiles, which are the nomad colors, and yet don't come off as entirely nomadic to casual scanning - The end goal is a weapon that investigative minds might piece together as being slightly nomadic in origin. Perhaps this could be combined with IFF'less SRP IDs flying the appropriate military factional ships to really add to the mystery?

Edit: If you *have* to get into a firefight, these weapons sync in projectile speed with debs. You can also mix-n-match guns for a neat auto-chain fire effect.

It seems to me that splitting a wild faction into "known nomads" and "still undercover nomads" is already possible with the current game mechanics:

The "still undercover nomads" use a regular RM/LN/Navy ID and an inconspicuous tag like LN9-, but the activity of both tags (LN9 and D9 for example) is added to the same wild faction activity.

If an "undercover nomad" is too obvious in working with the "known nomads" and gets busted, or chooses to blow his cover intentionally, that char just takes the "known nomad" tag and wild ID.

What I find bothersome is when people use a well known wild ID and tag, and have even been openly behaving like nomads in front of lawfuls before, but the next day they demand that everyone treats them as if they werent behaving like obvious nomads.

I think the Wild IDs just limit their options a lot. Everything is hostile and 70% of players just go "Oh look, a Wild" and start shooting as soon as you get in range, which again, limits your options as a Wild player. My most played infected character usually ran tagless with a full human loadout and only the Wild ID, and it helps mitigate the problem, but it's still not the best solution. Last time I was playing here, a vast majority of the encounters I had on my Wild character was PvP. Sure, sometimes you run into someone who's willing to play along with whatever story you come up with, but it's not worth the constant PvP that I was forced into. It got so bad that I just decided to drop a character that I've been building since 2011.

As for what I'd like to see from Wild factions, a lot of people here brought valid points. Less message dumps showing off blue messages, more subterfuge and infiltration RP. A lot of Wild players would just run straight into a fight instead of trying to manipulate someone and talking their way out of a tough situation. It's true that when people just don't wanna play along you're forced to fight, but I think Wild should be about manipulation and making people doubt their beliefs and loyalties as opposed to just initiating fights whenever they can.

I like the Wild idea, but what I really dislike is this elite style that this id has, both Aoi and Das Wilde.

It's not only about me, because I know I got denied for specific reasons, but you should really open up your recruitment.

Just a example, take two member for one newbie and start to teach him stuff, over skype and ingame. (Take him on the hand, and you can put him into the right direction where you want him, RL example: Being a Trainee in a company)

I would also like to see that the Wild faction maybe get's two IFF's and rephacks

One full hostile, as it is right now
And one with none iff but almost neutral to everything, because you know, being infected doesn't mean everyone knows that, people could actually work with FR5's to get you hostile when they find out that you are infected.

That would be all from my side

So this is what I am going to be putting on my agenda:
  • The infiltration of official and unofficial factions, with clear ooRP agreements as to what infected players can and can't do.
  • Looking into the ability for the Wild ID to run different IFFs as the current one they're forced to have painted them as a big target and forces them into PvP.
  • Recruitment will be done via mandatory infections. Players can choose from a variety of infection routes.
  • Making Wild characters more personal, rather than just an extension of the Nomad hivemind.
  • 'Nomad War #2'
  • Less elitism, make the experience more inclusive.

I think this thread has served its purpose. It can be closed now.
