We could use an intervention. Where are the A.D.M.I.N.S. ?
I would prefer Eris herself simply end it. I know that's never a thing but a nice story about a higher order being or beings intervening to just remove that bacteria would be nice. The whole thing could be like a singularity event, where they make 'contact' with Humanity, revealing Sirius is 'watched' by an ancient higher level civilization, something we never saw before. Then Gaia can be forced safe for good. Wouldn't have to be a new faction or anything just a story to justify a reversal instead of a retcon.
How do we know there's nothing more advanced from long ago living inside Gaia this whole time? If it were up to me, we'd add an atmospheric system to Gaia you could enter from the poles, that is a hollow inner surface, like halo but a sphere, not a ring. Put some cool stuff in there, bam...problem solved.

And no, you're not meant to know what results your actions will cause before things are concluded. But I'd figure the gist of what each faction causes is clear from the write-up.
All three of these factions deserved a reason to get involved in something, and Gaia is the perfect mess as per current canon. A conflict in the independent worlds between factions that are typically neglected by the "grander" narratives involving the houses and their forces.
Hope this clears some things up.
I don't think it resolves anything though, the situation could have remained as it was there for a long time. Why now? Sorry, but due to the timing and details, I don't really believe this is the sole motivation for this event. If it is so important to keep things fixed by a story department, just tell us what to do, what we can and can't do. No one cares about a mystery to a rigged event. With a heads up things are going here or there, we can know to avoid certain situations. If the docking situation is going to change, I wouldn't have bothered building out there. I see that as systemized cheating, which I shall endure, yet again.
Why now? For the simple reason that I drafted this ages ago, but it was only prepared to be run on the live server by an admin on the 7th. There was no auspicious reason for why it was done then, it just was. If anything it might have been done earlier if I had been more insistent on punctuality.

Snip.
This is actually the first bit of fair feedback I've seen in this thread so far, so thanks. There honestly has been stuff leading up to this, you had the exploitation of Sprague by BMM, terraforming of California Minor by Synth and the literal occupation of Gaia by the Royalists not so long ago. The Gaians have seen nothing but failure for years now, so it makes a healthy degree of sense why quite a few of them would be so bitter as to consider the usage of bioweapons, specifically rigged to target people.
As for the Mollys, the loss of a support base on Leeds has forced them to look for more sources for grass roots support, in addition to just Sprague. They aren't on Gaia to pester the locals, they're on Gaia to rile up the refugees to revolt against the Gallic presence on the planet. That much should be clear from the writeup, but if it wasn't then that's on me and I apologize.
If you have any questions, feedback or suggestions beyond this, feel free to DM me.
Gaians with Maquis blew up chunks of Gaia fleeing Enclave convoy that was trying to rejoin the Union last march in Orkney - wrecks are still pending to be added
The Molly story even as explained isn't really consequential but like I said - event > no event , thanks for adding the ID in!
Considering a 90-minute respawn pew this Saturday, January 15 following the close of the event likely between 7:00 and 8:30 P.M. UTC. Please direct thoughts to my PMs.
