First of all, what lawful and civilian characters are allowed to scan and consider contraband: =BSG=screens for small arms currently, as they invariobly end up in the hands of terrorists. But small arms are not in Igiss's list of contraband. Same would be true of military vehicles IMO. Player Factions should have the option to designate certain commodities contraband based on their RP. Albeit, it needs to be well thought out and not decided upon ad hoc just because you want to shoot at a trader. =BSG= would like to consider optronics contraband as well (we are afraid of AI.)
I guess the problem is, how can you regulate what is contraband when a faction may have a good RP reason to adjust the list?

@Fellow Sorry, I've been not clear in my speech. I was meaning in the real world... if you see a US Navy Carrier attaking a Russian merchant ship... this act would be qualified as act of war... not terrorism.
edit after Orryn post: also Igiss' list imply that bring nomad brains to cambridge should not been restricted since it's not contrabband.

Ok Lump, get ya ... Though as terrorists, the Phantoms only ever use fighters and the occasional bomber to go
after traders. Cap ships are reserved for larger campaigns, where all other enemy vessels could be involved.
And assaults on planets ...

The list of contraband goods is not complete. I'm sure I can allow factions to apply their own rules, but only in their own systems. In other systems, you'll be restricted to a certain list of goods that are generally considered contraband. Pilots, and nomad brains too, gonna be in that list.
Please clarify docking and F1 to different character...
A hypothetical situation. Say a trader is being attacked by a pirate ship and successfully docked, is it allowable to switch to a character in the same faction, based at the same location?
How would the same scenario apply to switching to another character at a different location?
Another hypothetical situation. A capship is being attacked by fighters and bombers.
Is it allowable to dock and switch to a fighter character(in the same faction) based at that location?
Currently, with the capship difficulties in damaging the smaller ships, I can imagine that capship use would drop if switching were not allowed.

okay. by "F1" we mean F1'ing in the middle of combat, in space. Docking at a station means you're *NOT* in space, and the F1 rule is moot at that point. FLHook is set up to set up a 10 second delay between the time you hit F1 and the time you're actually allowed to leave the game.

(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
Thanks for clarifying.
I suppose in an RP sense, switching to a ship in a different loacation could be justified as "calling in support" as long as it wasn't the same RP character for both ships.
So, will the number of ID"s that are tewrrorist be expanded upon? Because not everony wants to be a Xenos. I would suggest that the same restrictions that are upon the phantom ID be expanded to terrorist ID's, or that the terrorists have their tractors revolked altogether. The list got posted somewhere..
