There are lots of opportunities for RP here - maybe a smaller group of Junkers try and get richer by selling off Gallic secrets to Sirius, causing them to be hostile to all the lawfuls, as well as what they already are. And that's just off the top of my head without any deep thought.
Yup ... and maybe in the next update to Disco we'll see one of two things happen ... Gallian weapons get less powerful ... or role play the rest of Sirius adopting the new technology.

or option 3: gallia goes totally ape ballistic and like starts trying to wipe out bretonia and kusari forcing them to band together.
sense there apprently " uber superior" to sirus i see that happening anyway and kusari and th BAF would NEVER work togeather so unless they get wiped out in or we (sirians) become slaves or something) balance the galic ships or cut it off as im sick of seeing galic capitols in new york(there fighters too its been a month the council would stil lbe in brentionia)

That would be really neat. Though I doubt they would band together, as Kusari wouldn't get hit like Bretonia. They could then let Bretonia get blasted and hurt Gallia, while they go in and cut off the supply line. Or something like that.
There's still the issue of sending a massive fleet of large ships through multiple systems with jumpholes. SP seems to say large ships are more susceptible than smaller ones to such things.
Heya people, just a few thoughts. Sorry if I misunderstand some of the issues here.
I for one think Gallia is totally awesome, the whole environment is very cool and I'd be sad to see it go. I just discovered it yesterday and aside from being the only person there it's wonderful! So here are some ideas and agreements with previous ideas.
First from a RP position: All the info cards describe Gallia as having the most powerful navy in all of Sirius. And assuming that their intentions really hostile to the other Houses, I don't see why they wouldn't be perfectly willing to simultaneously go to war with Bretonia and Kusari, or as Hawkwings pointed out, more likely the Outcasts. Unless they capture Orkney and head towards the Taus and Bretonia simultaneously. I agree that Kusari and Bretonia would never join forces and there's no reason to not have a 3 way war going on!
Gallia clearly already has the natural resources to build up this fleet with battleships at the corner of every trade lane. But I don't see why general smuggling (not weapons) would stop. Just... good luck smuggling past the battleships. If some rich dude in Rheinland wants to drink Gallic wine I'm sure someone would be willing to take the risk! We could figure out other commodities that would fit in with that.
As for game play, just because in RP Gallia is the most powerful navy in Sirius doesn't mean it actually *needs* the most powerfully navy in Sirius. I don't see why just nerfing the weapons is a problem. Look at Kusari and Bretonia, Kusari "controls" the Tau systems, but if it were really a PvP fight Kusari would probably have become a Bretonian Colony long ago! Good luck invading Gallia with all those battleships floating around any population centers anyway!
Urgh. Why would anyone want to smuggle out Gallic weapons? they are OORP outside of Gallia and contraband in the houses...
Besides, they are only half as cool mounted on non-Gallic ships...it's like using Hornvipers on an Eagle...
If you want to be the epitome of cool, make a Lynx with 4 CLAYMOREs and 2 Grand Culverins. I got close to completing mine, then I sold it for spare cash (a terrible idea).
There are 2 exits to Gallia. Either the GRN fight through the Council to break through (Or return home!), or they fight through the outcasts. Either way, there is going to be a shootout, especially if they choose the outcast route.
That being said, we have to wait until the admins give the OK for the groups there to apply for official status.
As for the unbalance between gallic and sirius weapons, that's going to have to change before the GRN invade anyone. The developers really didn't have time to balance it out with Sirius technology.
