(In fact why dont we change all the history of the game just because of a possible pact)

I clearly remember the IMG trying to restrict the Colonial Remnant off all it's stations, an act of near hostility,...

Just for the info: as far as I know, thats the case again.... CR isnt allowed by IMG to dock their stations and has as I remember also issued an internal edict not to dock IMG stations, after the guild enacted their regulations.

However...

Those cardi addicted are in fact (as someone with minimum info should know), a superior race, that live longer, with reflexes more accurate.

And by the way, true OC's, raided a lot, defend Malta multiple times and most important they sure know how to respect a treaty.

Well obviously I am biased not to have this treaty. Before My group makes an official statement (Wuselkobold is semi-inactive for a few days) as a group. I'll just leave some personal thoughts (that are mine and do not reflect the whole IAF.)

Every group needs a enemy it would get boring without one. Not having one will also lead to IMG indies going "IMG Neutrality, You no attack me" This path will only lead to player vs player resentment like we had/have with the Zoners.

Indies. You will always have them come down and attack you that will never end. Are the OC going to let you have free reign in attacking them?

With the new ore prices being very and making pirating miners very profitable, Will the OC never pirate IMG. I cannot believe that.

The region is just going to be IMG pewing rocks and Cardi/Slavers flying by ignoring each other. The chances for RP in the area go way down as a result. But then this leads for another faction to come in your place. If the IMG is just going to be passive and let the Outcast run freely, for example the Hogosha would have to step in to hold back the OC tide from going to into Kusari. While they are there do you think they would leave a nice big fat mining ship go by un taxed? If the purpose of this treaty is to be able to mine and trade with out being hit I think you are wasting your time.
