I understand what you are saying Walker about BH's protecting peep's.

I would like to point out though that you do not see BH's in real life walking around in say harlem, and knocking off punk's who are up to no good, and if they did? the police would arrest them.
I was both LPI/LNs,and a BH at time's in the past. I had my BH BS destroyed by LNS for playing Police in their space,and as a LN player have told BH's to back off,and killed a few who did try to police main system's.

Well it can be argued that Bounty Hunters have awesome guns, and pretty good ships, so it pisses off the unlawfuls when they crawl out of every nook and cranny to claim a non-existant bounty.

Have you ever seen 4 BH BS's 2 BH BC's, and 4 BH GB's chase 1 Corsair fighter? saying their is 1mil on your head? I have. it is just freaking funny, and completely stupid. Just think of the fuel,and ordnance that would use up.

In real world the criminals often don't know that they got one on their heads so how does he know he doesnt have one?

I was the one yeah and I did say that there is no Bounty on my Head. The Bounty you wanted to share with your friend...there is none, except the few Credits posted on a Blanket Bounty. In the real world they would know there is a Bounty, but just a bounty for giving hints to the police and not killing the criminal and he knows that.

And no Athenian, I am not posting here because I got killed. I am posting here because I am annoyed by Bounty Hunters chasing me and anyone else with stupidy for nothing and I am suggesting things to make it better and in my eyes my suggestions would change much.

For the Rogue IFF, you do know there's a Bribe way for getting the ID and IFF?

About the blank bounties.. 250k is a lot in real world and to just starting no experiance pilots to.

I think they can stay and if pirates dont cause trouble they won't get hunted but if they do they get lots of trouble

I have Ryoken...and I still support the blanket bounties.
I think they add to the gameplay for all.
For some reason, certain parties seems to be focusing on the BH bounty board but every house has one.
Even the unlawfuls have them. I should know, I ran a little one for a short while.

It gives the pilot a little something more than just the feeling of winning the fight. It's not about PvP but RP (which I concede to Ryoken that it has been abused - good example sir).
They even get bragging rights (which is possibly why they were abused...).

I think they're a good thing because when you know you're somewhere doing something you shouldn't, expect to get hit. Hard.
Passengers to Crete?
Piracy in House space?
Moving in hostile territory?

These are covered by those bounties and as you shouldn't be doing them and you get caught, expect to get punished.
It's not a free ride.

Doing a bounty on the blanket bounties is not doing it for nothing, they do pay. It's pretty much the standard pay until big prizes show up with specific bounties on them, it's not everyday they pop up on the scanner but it's really nice when they do, then there is still the challenge of being able to collect and the paperwork afterwards along with the carpal tunnel syndrome that comes from that PrtSc button.
Now as for the size of the payouts in a blanket bounty that's for another topic specifically but not one that's gonna really budge either. The low pay of a blanket bounty is good as is, as well, otherwise the rise of BH's would be heavy indeed. Even then, not every faction can afford to fork out millions and millions weekly in order to satisfy the RP of bounty hunters yet a measure is appreciated so that we can follow our RP.

I am a Pirate, I know what consequences there are. Such as being chased by the Police or being hunted by Bounty Hunters, but Bounty Hunters who are trying to get a full wallet with real Cash.

Makes no odds. Wear the ID, expect the consequences. More ridiculous restrictions are not the way forward, nor is re-hashing the same arguments.

Let me guess - this happened somewhere in Liberty. I'm so sick of the foolish goings-on in that part of space being the source for all manner of silliness in terms of rule amendments to the games. Try some of the less busy systems.

So you are a Liberty Rogue, but you bought your membership and presumably you should be free to pirate at will until someone reports you to the massive pirate database in the sky? That stretches credibility a bit.

Do you honestly expect people to alt-tab in and out fo the game to check the status of every single ship they meet? What about /renameme ? It would render the game unplayable.

hunters may not raid, they are pvp whoring then

hunters may not have caps, because they are capwhores

hunters may not claim blanket bounties

I have some shocking news: bounty hunters tend to hunt bounties. if you are on the receiving end of a bounty, that's your problem. being an unlawfull doesn't mean you can parade around in your Trednte blowing away guardians and traders and then tell a hunter he can't claim on you. and tehn shoot him in the back first chance ya get.

Removing Blanket Bounties such as this will make people check the Bounty Board, like searching for new Targets which even give you more money. If someone notices Forum Roleplay, he'll probably read it. See how it's done. Learn by others -> Improving Roleplay.

Using /renameme is lame, yet I didnt see anyone using it to avoid Bounty Hunters. Probably because they all get killed for having no 'real' Bounty anyway.
