I would recommend any short story collections by Philip K. Dick, they're a good entry point into Dick's mobius strip of a mind.

There are also some fantastic cyberpunk short stories out there. Check out Burning Chrome and Mirrorshades, they feature some of the best works from William Gibson and Bruce Sterling. Also you might check out Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash, maybe the best novel ever to feature pizza delivery ninjas.
