But my understanding of this is fairly straightforward...
The implications of this would be that a shihp with X ID, cannot shoot another ship of the same ID, without one of the following two exceptions being in place.
1. Self defence
2. Doing so in accordance with Faction right #2.
Snoozzzer, I would find that deeply annoying as a player.
I'd rather quote the ID instead: "Cannot participate in any unlawful actions"
Way to do it next time: talk to your possible counterparts beforehand and ask them if they'd be willing to grant you their tech for merc/FL IDs so you can play your rebellion with the proper ships. Why do people keep starting up random stuff without talking about it first?

3. Why are you doing it? (Both roleplay and out-of-roleplay reasons please.. I assume there are both involved.)
inRP:Some commanders/captains/pilots fed up with all those officers who think they are above the law. that like to shoot and ask questions later, making innocent people to outlaws for their different opinions about Liberty. for having to follow orders that we are not ok with, so we decided to not follow orders anymore and have been classified as traitors by Liberty. That means we dont land in Liberty space and follow all ID restrictons but RP shooting Liberty Navy. OORP reason:Liberty is overcrowed and many of them arent what you would say bright. So we give them something to shoot and we are providing good RP in Liberty stuff. (We follow the rules,ID restrictions but inRP we shoot Navy and no, we dont get to annoy them just to shoot us because I find that annoying too.)
Did you read Cannon's previous post? I'll quote it for you...

3. Why not? Other factions have renegade ships. Besides, "Liberty government is corrupt" tongue.gif
I believe you are mistaken. If you have LN Guard IDs or LN IDs, you are not rogue LN pilots, you are breaking the rules.
For reference, here's your ID:
Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is in the Liberty Navy Guard, who :
Can destroy traders in Liberty who belong to corporations headquartered in Houses that Liberty is at war with if the trader refuses to drop all cargo and leave Liberty.
Can trade and escort traders
Can operate within Alaska and Nomad infested systems (excluding Omicron Alpha and Gamma)
Can demand contraband, levy fines and destroy ships if they refuse to comply in a gunboat or smaller (cruisers and battleships may only demand allied pilots)
Can hunt pirates and terrorists within their Zone of Influence
Cannot ally with any unlawfuls except with the Xenos against non-Liberty pirate or military invasions
Cannot participate in any unlawful actions
Cannot fulfill bounty contracts
Any questions?
What he is saying, is that by shooting liberty navy ships, while using a liberty navy ID, you are breaking the rules. Specifically rule 6.10.
If I hear the word 'corrupt' being used in roleplay again, I think I'm going to scream. It's roughly as overused and cliche as "scum", "engaging" and "greetings".
