So did anyone factor in that the KEB has 450 nanobots when compared to other Heavy Gunboats which only have 400?
Sure, but 50 additional bots doesn't really 'make up' for 25k-40k less armor slapped on it.
Even Liberty GB has more armor then KEB, and Rogue GB is pretty close to it (95k compared to 100k).
Also, as already stated, it has lower turning rate then any other GB, even lower then some destroyers.
Compared to an Imperator, KEB is weaker in every single aspect. Has less armor (even with more bots), turns slower, has less guns and it's bigger.
Compared to a Bretonian GB it's also weaker since it has significantly less armor, and turns slower.
Why don't we deal in facts here? Can anyone actually name a gunboat that is similar to KEB but weaker?

I agree with a lot of what has been said here, it shouldn't really be set up like a gunboat for civilian use.
On that note; This ship also needs to be able to mount lower class weaponry, like level 5 turrets, for Researchers who want to use this ship for their exploration.
Had an off-day today. Spent more time arguing with insurance company reps to pay for patients' medication then I should've had to. This thread was able to tickle my sense of humour. I've read all the posts and see some serious discussion but I have to be honest; I'm still not fully sure the OP isn't poking a little joke here.
In case this is serious I'll put in some real input. Leave the ship alone, it's fine as it is. GMG| has operated Ahoudaris periodically for a long time. I can guarantee you that it's far from our first ship of choice when it comes to combat. There is a good reason for that: There are better choices. Still despite it's flaws in combat we love the Ahoudari. Now there are some exceptional players who spend time flying their ships and learning to use them well in combat. Rip Rorry the "King of the Sigmas" comes to mind. If players master it and become effective with the ship; good for them. They get a Kudos from me (and I do believe I gave Veygaar a forum-based pat on the shoulder after decimating me and my wing with a Ahoudari) and I continue on with what I do.
If something like being "open" is a reason to nerf this ship I am quite willing to come to a consensus with other leading figures to see if we can't lobby to change such a status and the mercs can petition a modeler to make them an "open" GB that is nerfed.

Every nanobot equals 600 hitpoints multiplied by armor multiplier. 50 additional bots equals 30k hitpoints of basic hull strength.
Much better. I stand corrected, KEB is then almost as good as Bretonian GB and Imperator, as far as the hitpoints go.
It still turns slower, and has less guns then Imperator. It might be as good as Bretonian GB though.

As someone who pilots this ship, and as an indie, it's just frightening to read this topic. I don't want to have to wade through hours of faction paperwork just to be able to fly a gunboat. That's why I bought my Ahoudori. You're not going to take it away from me.

I don't know if you read the posts but nobody proposed the removal of Ahoudori.

I don't know if you P2P ever, but making the turrets level 7 transport turrets equates to the removal of the Ahoudori: it makes it useless. And I paid $50m for it. The thing's balanced already. You can kill it. If you're not winning against an Ahoudori, with a decked out gunboat, it's YOUR fault, not mine.
Maybe stop attacking me on these boards and actually contribute. Kthx.
