Well i think what Dakun is saying is that he thought (and it seems this way to me as well) that everyone else was being OORP. So, he followed suit and went OORP to goof off with everyone as well.
At least, that's what it sounds like from his post.. And it makes sense too. I mean, if everyone's going OORP dancing and laughing and joking around, you would feel like you could joke around to, right? Perhaps at first it was all serious RP business, but 20+ people there? There's no way that's RP, and if someone did try to RP it would all just be lost in the confusion.. Give the guy a break, he just wanted to have some fun and goof off like he thought everyone else was doing.
And Zelot also says he tried to correct it, well jeez guys let him correct it! And if he's a bad FP Admin, council him so that he may better himself.
I kind of find it weird that a similar witch hunt occurred at Freeport One previously. I also find it strange that the leader of another militaristic Zoner group always seems to be involved in some kind of witch hunt; Him and his Zoner-killing-Battleship never seem to be far from controversy! Maybe he's just very fervent about maintaining standards.
Oh well. What's really important is adjective and noun usage. That's right. The words we apply to modify other words and what words are modifiers and what words are being modified. When it comes to Zoners, everyone appears to be very fervent about keeping their standards of Roleplay up. What I think is more important, though, is to crucify a character but not a player. Sure the Freeport administrator can be terrible. Curse him.
But it's important to remember that this kind of thing has a history of happening around Freeport 1. Maybe he felt that he needed to put his foot down to solidify his station in the sector. It wouldn't be the first time there's been a mistake in Freelancer (see: Hessian expansion into Omega-5; IMG's Omega-41 Mining Operation; Planet Carinea). It's really a reasonable expansion of character.
Furthermore, Blood Diamonds are owned by private individuals throughout Sirius. Hessian Tears were Daumann's new line of jewels to revitalize their private markets. Contacting another private individual to share his collection is hardly a reason to start a conflict.
But I suppose starting a witch hunt for a player is just as acceptable as crucifying a character. *Shrug*
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.

This needs to be stressed over and over and over again.

I support as many different takes on any rp as can be thought of and worked out. Especially when it comes to Zoners, whose lore and rp offer such a wide range of oppurtunities. But I guess it's always easier for you to criticize how people play their Zoners then it is to keep an open mind.

Best of luck and all that cheese.
And how is that supposed to happen when everyone is calling for his ouster, yourself included it seems. I love how people set other people up to fail.

See? You create your own disappointment.
I did not criticise your character with my post. I was curious as to why you did not play a different Zoner. One like Dakun. Or perhaps you do?

There is an undercurrent in Baconsoda's post. It is called differentiating between player and character. My Rotch remnant character wants him gone, my Omicroners do not give a toss and my Rotch exodus has not heard yet.
I wonder how many players had characters in Freeport 1 for real. As one communication message got quite hefty of company, from BAF to OCV... If they just thought to be part of it, it's not roleplay, it's grieving about situation and seeking ways to participate in. This whole incident is poor.
It was already said that Blood Diamond shipment was canceled, but nobody really cares anymore, since it sparks PvPfestivals. Get real. Some rolled with ooRP feelings later and used RP justification. That's stupidity.
Dakun would be good character, but you started aggressive communications first with threats. So again, get real.
There are more guilty persons besides Dakun, who at least started RP around and about FP1.
When did you last time bought shipment to repair or reconstruct stations? Aha! Thought so. So. Get real.

My repair ship was at FP9, keeping it habitable after it blew up during the [A] fiasco. Before that was Freeport 10, the Aurelia DeFrance incident. Before that it was repairing a Nom attack at FP11.
Hmm... don't know why I didn't think to move my repair ship down before now. Thank you, Snak3:)
