Actually, the NFZ isn't a player invention. It has root in vanilla and while you claim you wouldn't acknowledge it, the GMG in vanilla probably would have. I mean, in vanilla the Corsairs followed it for some reason. Of course that is all from vanilla rumor cards. :P
' Wrote:Edit: Daedric we got quite a lot of not numbered freeports like Ames as it can be seen here.
I know there are quite a few ports that aren't numbered. However, Lanzarote, Boa Vista, Porto Novo, Cornith, Sparta, Livadia, Beth, Shasta, Sedona and Pueblo aren't vanilla stations.
Corfu isn't a Freeport in your typical sense, it serves as a storage depot for Freeport 9, it does however still allow anyone the ability to dock to re supply, re fuel, etc etc. It just isn't a freeport in the sense of it being a Free trade port as the Freeports are.
Same applies to Lanzarote. Boa Vista and Porto Novo are colony stations. Cornith is a research station, Sparta its defense station. Beth? Part of a Zoner attempt to colonize an entire system, which failed due to allowing Liberty in. Shasta is for all intents and purposes a Freeport. Pueblo? Eris damn the fool who docks there without permission from the TAZ. Then you have Sedona.......a scrubby farming station.
' Wrote:Lots of people died there. Did you see USA rebuilding WTC? No, they're building something instead on it's place as memorium. Why Zoners cant do same or just leave place? And yes, wait for 4.86 and rebuild it yourself. About numerical freeports I believe Ames is Freeport 3 and Corfu being Freeport 8
Erm...yeah, they are rebuilding it. There's a memorial on the direct site of the previous towers, but around it, there will be new WTC buildings.

Look at the third rumor from A. Cordero in Freeport 5.
Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits
I think another Freeport should be constructed but at a safer location (don't want FP7 to happen all over again, do you?).
as for base numbers I think both of these are considered FPs Pueblo Bonito Shasta Orbital Skyhook Planet Gran Canaria granted, its not a base but it completes the role of a Freeport in every other sense
LIBERTY IS THE STRONGEST OF THEM ALL!!! oh wait, that's 4.84
Now you'll see. I'll predict the future. in 4.86 Gallia will launch a full scale attack on the houses! guess how I know.
The problem wasn't that it was in an unsafe location. It was that an active Nomad artifact ended up there because of a thief. In other words, Freeport 7's destruction was by pure chance. If the thief ended up going to Freeport 9 instead, then Freeport 9 would've been destroyed. Maybe the debris should be left there as a sign of respect, but I don't see why another Freeport 7 could be built next to it.

I think the TAZ might say otherwise concerning Pueblo. :P

yes, but I doubt Zoners know that. they might think that since it was the beginning of the Nomad war, it was an Ideal place for an attack since its inside an asteroid-field and ships can't get there fast.

I agree, some Zoners might not now. Those with close relations to the Order probably do know though and if some know, it is only a matter of time until word spreads.

:mellow:hadn't thought of that, but what if the Order told the high ranking Zoners not to tell anyone else. maybe not a freeport in Sig 17 might be in another Sigma

One Freeport thats not really aware of but does see Nomads alot is Freeport 10, in rp due to actions of players 10 gets a few shots hitting it from time to time. Plus its on of the most remote freeport stations and fully self sustainable.
I'd be in support of a freeport being built close to 7's debris' Why else did Zoners build one there in the first place. Most Zoner bases are built either to get away ftom the houses such as 10 among others, whilst others are built close to a resource. One thing that has happened in history is that no matter how many times you try to destory a town, village or city another takes its place in the same spot, or close to the original spot. Why becuase people found that place to be liveable despite any threats to them.
