Heres what I suggest. We know what the basic story line will be in 4.86. & the more we know whats going on in that update the better. We can start staging the events that will lead to the present events of 4.86. Instead of complaining lets makes somethin happen! If gallia is going to wage war with bretonia. Then get in game and do everything that leads up to that point. Create events that lead up to the decision to build certain ships being released in .86. This game has infinite potential but you all are bored and giving up on it. Lets make it fun again. Start short skirmish wars with other factions. Supply bases getting huge upgrades in .86 and make a server wide event that will tide us over a couple months.
And most importantly smooth the transition over to the new update.
Sorry but it can't compete with the likes of Skryim, Call of Duty, Battlefield... etc... All the new games
Freelancer doesnt stand a chance unless you come out with small updates every now and again to keep the population stable otherwise you will lose them and they will not come back.
Cam...your clearly just trying to stir the pot further to swing more people into your protesting and fighting ways. If you really believe all these things, why do you keep coming back and posting here? Surely you could be out playing all these other fantastic games. In the short time I've been here, I've seen mostly people just whinging and complaining that .86 hasn't come out yet. You give all these various options on why the mod won't live for much longer etc, and you make it sound like you really believe it to. But I find it hard to believe, because your still here posting all this negative stuff.
Could everyone just lighten up and wait patentially? I'm sure it would make every bodies jobs around here a lot easier.

Seen many games die this way. Its slow.
This.
As you can see Skyrim it's on top because the game beats everything and it's made like the old school games (long and entertaining)
