Those numbers in FLStat don't mean much, since your rotation is always going to be based on where the "center" of the ship is in relation to it's size.
Those numbers especially don't mean much when you're talking about miniscule values like 0.01**. The difference is so small that you probably wouldn't notice the difference between flying the Prosecutor or the Guardian.
I don't think they deserve a buff, because honestly.. Despite what some may think the HF hasn't earned the right to complain. They got a whole new ship line and if they're refusing to fly it because it's not as good as the Sabre then honestly no one should be expected to invest the effort into fixing the Prosecutor especially when there's so many other factions who actually deserve the attention.
"We want to fight and RP, but only if our equipment is the best." - Typical HF bull****
The size of the ship is abit much, I agree; but the agility really shouldn't matter so much. A difference of 0.01** in the agility ratio is not going to change the outcome of a fight.
' Wrote:What Im saying is that the Guardian can hold its own against any ship you listed, and is not that inferior to a Sabre. Also by ships in Liberty I meant Avenger, Eagle, Prosecutor, Stinger, Sabre (most commonly used ships in that area).
The Guardian is the definition of balanced from my point of view. It is average in every area, and that quality simply makes it perform extremely good if you know how to take advantage of that very point, that it does average in all areas. The only ship that is actually a lot stronger than a Guardian is probably the Wraith, and I have brought this problem up many times before. The Sabre is also still stronger, albeit not as much as the Wraith. But like I said, even while taking that fact into account, the Guardian can still hold its own, simply because of its "averageness" (if thats even a word).
That's all well and good, but it doesn't change the fact that the Guardian is worse, by a small amount or a large amount, than its primary adversaries. That it can "hold its own" is like saying the Virage can "hold its own". Sure it can. So can any VHF-class ship that's balanced within acceptable tolerance levels. Taking advantage of averageness is the same kind of thing as taking advantage of specialisation.
' Wrote:And I'll tell you again, the Guardian is faster than a Prosecutor. Or are you really going to make me actually prove it? You are looking at balance by reading one number.
I'm using a number generated by numbers input into the game that decide turn statistics. You are using your own personal opinion, which is subjective and open to error. Numbers do not lie.
RParade: That the complaint is being made that it's slower than the Guardian despite the tiny difference means that it obviously does make a difference.
You are comparing small diffrences. Which doesn't differ that much.
The idea that anyone can hit prosecutor then they are chasing it without proper aim is the problem. Snacing it is way easier. Razoring it is way easier. It's very long which means you can miss the cross while chasing it and you still hit it without much problem. It's in the same way wide at the end, which means again, you can easily hit it without much problem.
The size of the ship from cockpit till the end is like gaurdian. Plus it has the bottom wing and very long nose. Making it twice plus the size of the guardian and bullet magnet.
It's not a complain adressed that it's not good as sabre, it's complain adressed that it's not good at all in most discovery freelancer situation players face. Despite the fact that it is HUGE, it's balanced like it had size of a sabre.
That's the main problem. I don't know what kind of balancing was done before it. Or testings.. but saying that "you've missed it, not going to do anything about it now" would sound just like devs saying "it's out, we won't fix anything and leave BETA forever, get used to it and be happy what what you've got."
If you are not going to resize then atleast balance it out in other traits making it some sort of specialized ship. But this has not been done.
"HF got their own ship, you should be happy about it" YES because the group have people who model the ship. You can model and submit the ship too, you know.
