You can however, set a low price and make the item buy only.

Once you have acquired an amount of goods, you can change the price to a higher one make the item able to be bought and sold.

' Wrote:About the "only-one-price-for-sell-and-buy":

Is it possible perhaps to set a factor then, instead of set 2 different prices?

So, if the base owner set a factor 0.8 for example, the buy price will become automatically 80% of the sell price.

Is that impossible too?

Was only an idea. I was aware of cannons quote before; the 'factor' thing was only an idea. Maybe an unuselful.

Suggestion, if shield-up-no-docking is kept:

Add command that allows to personalise how long the shield stays active after station being fired upon.

Actually, the docking restriction seems like quite an elegant solution to miners building a base on top of a minefield for invunerability and similar situations.

The base commodities usage has been revised, in short the updated behaviour is:
  • Players cannot dock at bases if the shield is up
Thank you Canon.
You have killed unconcealed player bases.

It has always been my most firm belief that bases should be allowed to be disabled just like tradelanes. Let's let pirates blow up planets next. Why not?
Pansies trying to flee to bases should really be just left hanging outside the doors of their castle to be shot to pieces. And pay through their nose for the priviledge of owning the casle which refuses to be a safe haven in case of an attack. Yes.

WHICH BLOODY MORON CAME UP WITH THIS ****??

I am also of the thought that those who have access to dock with a base, should be able to do so even if the shield is on.

Any reasons other than your own comfort? At the expense of a useful balancing tool?

Oh, well it must be my personal comfort.
NPC bases don't restrict docking when they are under attack, why should such thing happen in player bases?

I wouldn't think the resources required to run the base would be worth the potential safety. I'd rather run the risk of dying and make more money mining.

Scenario: Trader is fleeing from pirates.
Trader dodges until he gets to a base. Trader docks. Trader is safe.

Same scenario with this moronic rule:
Trader dodges until he gets to a base. Pirate shoots once at the base. Trader is refused docking. Trader gets blown up. Trader later has to go back and take fuel to the base which it consumed while this bloody moronic rule allowed him to be exploded.

A braindead seacucumber would see this is not balance. Except perhaps, of course, you.

because of the effort required to keep a base alive, functioning properly and smoothly.. you spend all that time keeping it alive and trying to make it grow into something bigger.

then when it has a chance to actually help you out, oh sorry you cant dock. sorry but this is pointless and favorites only pirates and unlawful mercs.

also why is it only player bases that do this? why only the base you need to actually put some hardcore game time in to make it work, where as the ones that have been around since the universe popped into existence 9 years ago let you dock even if 900 battleships were all spamming heavy mortars at them?

it makes no sense inrp or oorp, you work hard to make the base but cant dock on it when you need to, you dont have to do crap all for the other bases and you can still go and dock on those whenever you like.

also the margin of what is considered an "attack" needs to be made way bigger than just a few tickles with some fighter weaponry and whoops the shield is up, cant dock.

the shield should stay up once its up until somebody deactivates it, that way at least it is safe forever until somebody can be around to do something about it.
