I have updated the Official Factions page. Initially, it was to include the recently approved factions (ALG and UC), but I added the few that were missing as well.
Also, in doing this, I moved some factions to the Unoffcial Factions list. That is however probably still out-of-date.
"You see what your knowledge tells you you're seeing. ... how, what you think the universe is, and how you react to that in everything you do, depends on what you know. And when that knowledge changes, for you, the universe changes. And that is as true for the whole of society as that is for the individual. We all are what we know, today. What we knew yesterday, was different; and so were we."
- James Burke, The Day the Universe Changed (1985)
Created the the page for Planet Columbia. The three other planets in Virginia remain without an article, might complete these later, or alternatively someone else who isn't as lazy can do it.
We have been updating and centralizing all [*USI*] Faction information. New ranks have been added; a new Public Ordinance list has been added; Sirius-wide loan information have been added; and much more.
Soon, we will add a list (and their details) of all Employee Benefits.

I agree and I'm working on it already, don't worry. It just takes some time, and I'd like everyone - including myself, preferably - to get a bit more familiar with the new mod version first. It's a bit difficult to organize anything at all without knowing what's changed and where it's most important to begin. I'll make an announcement somewhere when I get that far. I'm at the very least planning on making a Google spreadsheet with all bases, systems and ships and their current status so we could see what's done and not easily.
I wouldn't recommend starting updating equipment/commodity/ship/base pages by hand just yet, as we will hopefully be able to (mostly) automate all that. System pages, however, are an excellent point to start on for v4.87, as there are quite a few new systems that need new pages and a whole heap that need updating (e.g. jump hole locations, base locations, mining fields, system descriptions).

I've asked around a bit about this earlier, and it's why I'm suggesting people to start with systems and such first. Those probably won't be changed around (much) by subsequent updates of v4.87.
PS: This is also why we've got the Version template. Please use "4.87Betas" when you're updating pages until we're out of the beta. (e.g. {{Version|4.87Betas}}.)
@aakopa: Good idea. I was planning on starting with taking pictures of absolutely everything (bases, important solars, systems), so we've got those ready for when we need them. Base pictures were one of the things that took me the longest to finish after the v4.86 update...
