Actually, it was always Register Your Capital Ships or Die. You yourselves said that it wasn't effective to teach RPing without requiring written RP for all capships, so we've changed that. And you have nobody to blame for the ruling on Outcast Dreadnoughts but yourself. You wanted the RM? I'll give you the RM. Be very careful what you wish for; you might just get it.

I don't want you to rubber stamp my RP. My RP is for my enjoyment, if you choose to enjoy it with me I'm happy, if you don't like it, don't read it.
What I don't need is you telling me my RP is ok or not. If it was a terrorist or Nomad ID or it directly impacted your faction or other characters (not ingame impacts of being on a mulitplayer server, impacting as in going in and changing your pre-existing RP, i.e. peace between Corsairs and Outcasts) THEN and only then would I ask for people's rubberstamp.

And how is this justified with the other players who weren't involved with this?
This is just juvenile anger and petulance.
So you "punish" the entire server?
And you guys wonder why there is so much faction bashing. This is for you--not for all the players and it shows your priorities--your play.
David, you don't have to want it. The simple fact of the matter is that you need it or we're going to make you miserable. This is not the Happy Peace Coalition, this is the IRS. Nobody asked you to have a government, but you have one nonetheless.
Actually, I take that back. You did ask for a government. Everybody complained about the rampant Outcast Capwhoring and whined for somebody to do something about it. Somebody's doing something about it.
EDIT:

I'm not punishing anything. I'm regulating it. The RM has already done this for their entire fleet (Hint: Flame them instead!). I've only done it for the rarest and most powerful ship we make, since people didn't seem happy with the way things were. You want an Outcast Dreadnought? You prove to the landowners that you will be responsible enough for it. You're correct: It is anger and petulance. It is anger and petulance inspired by people's lack of appreciation for the time and effort my pilots invest in keeping our space playable. You asked for regulation: We gave you regulation. You don't like the regulation: Get over it. You asked for it, you got it.

Bahahahahah! Some regulation! Anyone - anyone - who can afford it gets approved. In just two pages, I found no less than seven applications I'd have rejected outright.
The problem we have is with the no-RP idiots, and yet almost none of the recently accepted applications have had any RP - or even length - to them. I say drop the monetary fee and require some actual roleplaying.
(Also, kudos to SOB for actually doing a better job on their applications)
The Ban and Beg idea has been implemented. No worries. We've got the firepower. ^_^

Indeed. I'd noticed that, people are complaining about it (in fact, they're trying to crucify us for it), and by tomorrow you'll see it fixed. Anybody who complains about it from hereonout will be asked to shut up. Politely. If we've had our coffee.

*sigh* Great... and the whole thing kicks off again. Eppy, I don't dislike you restricting capships but this is too far, please, please retract this now, please. I don't want more flaming, agro and general bad will on this server. Charging people is too much, and I will take no part in enforcing this at all. You want to make the dread avaiable to only factionalised outcasts then fine, however you may have just pissed on several people's roleplay who would not have damaged yours.
I am deeply unimpressed by this, the situation doensn't call for it. Its a knee jerk reaction and utterly futile in the end.
You do NOT charge people for ships purchases, and moreover you don't charge people then when people object throw all your toys out of the pram and stop anyone from getting a ship. Thats simply not on.
I supported you up to the point you started charging people, remember that the OC capspam issue effects us all, not just you, don't try to gain as much as you can out of it, your greed is too much in this instance and I hope that people around you will agree.
I can't see what favours you think you're doing for yourself here, but all it will do is make people angry.
Your sarcastic tone doesn't impress me Morgan (read coffee statement above), and I hope that you drop the payment thing right now. Thexare has a very good point. There are apps there I would have rejected, yet you accept them while holding yourself up as a shining example of what roleplayers should be like. Capitolising on what is your by default is not a good idea. I understand restriction, but I don't understand profiting from restriction.
