This is what you get when people that barely know a thing about Freelancer physics and combat do balancing :3
Same stuff happened by removed the shield bubbles...
"Oh wait this influenced combat?"
Same with the missiles.
Shields got reversed, now to wait for the rest.
Honestly, I'm not against change, but reworking everything the way it was done without actual second thoughts to it or testing, it's quite hilarious.
Not to mention 90% of what was changed was never tested by the modders themselves, speaking about certain ship models with obvious bugs that could've been spotted by the modders themselves if they had bothered to actually test what they threw into the mod. Spatial being an example of showing it wasn't tested at all.
Sure you're all doing it for free, but don't you have this feeling that when you build something you want to do it right? Before showing the product?
Oh yes, beta is to test stuff. But it's also how you managed to drive away people. And here 'we' are complaining about the lack of people.

This. Making bad gun is ok, testing bad gun is ok, saying that the bad gun that is already tested and proved not working is good and wont be reversed is not ok.

My guess is the OP is used to the aimbot style of aiming. "if mouse over target rectangle, click fire". That weapon doesn't work that way.
When the community says that the said gun is not ok and that it does not work then if yo have point prove it, mount the said "thing" on any ship go to conn shoot stuff, film it, link us on the youtube, proof that it works on any normal snub pilot. None would have the problem to play the role of the ignorant user that does not understand how things work, if you have proved that things work.
Otherwise your statements look hilarious and your competence as dev is not doing better either.
It means that you either does not care at all about the mod, the reaction of the players on this and have fun in trolling the Community in general because you can. The good thing is that with this rates there wont be Community to troll.
I see no point to rack tons of hours working on something and the get the critics for being incompetent because you does not have actually 20 min to go to Conn and test it. You could had done this even in the normal 4.86 server going in with admin ship in Conn to test the gun, it is not so hard, it takes 20 min time and there are plenty of players that are willing to help in testing.
Your kind and attitude/way of thinking reminds me of some engineers in my firm that spend 7 Mio € to do R&D for something that none of out customers would ever buy. They made flawless product indeed, however they didn't had the concerns to contact our market intelligence team first in order to safe 200 000 € that we would had billed them to tell them not to waste the rest 6,8 Mio €.
When we asked them why the hell they would do such a thing, they and their technical minds had no better answer then:
"Because we were fascinated by the technical possibilities that this product offer, we build it with a lot of passion and never thought about who would buy it"
Now we got this fine flawless product in our Portfolio since 2010 and guess what? None even had shown any interest, not to mention buying it.
Same story with your work-none would ever use this gun, the bonus is that you got a bunch of people not liking you and on top of that disrespecting your work as well.
