Good.
I made a deal with the LSF. They get a data archive on the Cult of Technology. In return, they have killed you and Nancy, on paper. See the attachment. They are broadcasting the death of you and Nancy. Good news: That means you are no longer considered a criminal in Liberty. Bad news: You are considered dead.
I'll be required to conduct a meeting with the LSF agent that organized all of this. In the meantime, I tasked Sombra to fly to Baden Baden. You will be required to lay low for a while. Sombra will provide you a bunch of new clothes, wigs, hair dye, a new banking account with some funds and two new Kishiro Service Robots. Sombs will also stay with you for a while.
Admittedly, the way the LSF handled it is a bit unfortunate. I was hoping they would merely delete you and Nancy from the records. Instead they added pictures of you and Nancy in that broadcast. You will need to rename your ships at some point, by the way, and I'll get new IDs for you two from the LSF - I hope this time Nancy doesn't fuck it up again, and I hope you don't make it worse either. Once enough time has passed, people will forget about the records and your face and your name, and then we can have a normal life again.
Again, it is not optimal. But at least nobody will hunt you ever again.
Stay away from John Silverstone, Maren. He is the kind of guy who can fuck everything up.

Look, I know you're probably not happy with this, but I need you to play along. I just received the new IDs, and they offer quite a good amount of creative freedom. In the LSF agent's words, everything is up to you as long as you don't want to be a cat admiral or failed LSF experiment.

So is this the point where I need to learn my new name? Seriously though, sorry for taking some time, Dinah has a few problems at school. Uh, yeah, so what about those new ID cards? Am I supposed to, like, create my own persona or is that already fixed? And if so, I thought about getting pink hair.

I'd prefer you'd choose something more low-profile. The less attention you draw, the better it is. And yes, a new name is required. That asshole threw your name and your face out there and for the time being we have no other choice than have you to adapt. You need to become someone else.
LSF AGENT Wrote:You'll find these are actually, for the most part, blank.
Your friends will be able to select a name for themselves, and a bit of a personal history as well.
Try not to make it too extravagant.
No catgirls or LSF experiments.
Basically, they provided us with everything we can't forge ourselves with our means, and with data on how to do it for these blank IDs. We will do that on the Apahanta, and we have only one try for each of you. I suggest you come over here once Sombra arrived at Baden Baden to unload everything you will need to change your looks. I am also trying to get Nancy here, which is obviously not that easy, given how stubborn she is.
One other thing, Maren. Those are Liberty-forged IDs. This means people shouldn't find out about your rheinlandian origin. Improve your libertonian accents whenver you have some spare time.
But yes, you'll get to create your own new persona. Try some random name generators and then create your background. It's like creating a roleplay character, just with yourself.
The CV-Titanic has suffered critical damage to its energy and hyperdrive systems. Life support will fail in fourty eight hours. Should rescue be desired, the location it submitted with this message.

*Before the message begins, the camera wobbles somewhat, as the machine had lagged slightly and Maren wasn't sure whether it was recording.*
Ah, there we go. *She clears her throat.* Uh, hey there, love. Sorry for the slight delay but it took a little longer before I could get to the Titanic. Dinah is now settled into the usual routine on Baden Baden again, going to school. We took the pets with us and I think Woofers got used to ***** on the indoors of the Apahanta, as it's actually hard to get him to not do that in our home. Annoying.
The Titanic itself is a virtual treasure trove if you are a mad scientist that is into genetics. We found cloning vats, thousands of pentabytes of genetic data from all kinds of species around Sirius. It seems that the Doctor used this ship as a mobile lab, but there are essentials missing that are required to actually work with the apparatus here. We believe that, what we found here, is merely something the Doctor played with when not at her actual lair. The ship systems themselves are strange. The bridge has been stripped of most functions, only providing access to the astrometry and navigation. Instead, most systems have been rerouted into a room situated at the stern of the vessel. We believe that the Doctor experimented with psi controls for starships — taking direct control of a ship with the mind of a powerful psionic. The hyperdrive system has been heavily modified to the point where we actually do not know what it is supposed to do or how it works.
None of the databanks here are encrypted. Not much of the data is really new, though. The genetic data is not that interesting besides the sheer quantity of it and we still haven't finished sifting through most of it. However, there is one system that we have been unable to access at all and have no idea what it does. It seems the Doctor arranged the entire makeup of the computer systems to base on this one program, so if we try to enter it without knowing how the Doctor secured it, we risk permanently losing the entirety of the data. Knowing the Doctor, it is probably a kind of failsafe to prevent whoever takes over the Titanic from gaining full control of its data core.
*She remains quiet for a moment.*
You know, having been on this for a while, I still can't really believe that the Doctor is dead. We found her corpse on the bridge, just as Valery had said. She had apparently killed herself to prevent Valery from gaining access to her body and mind... There is not much to note about the corpse. It is completely natural. Neither she nor her assistant Adrian were genetically or mechanically altered in any way. Strange, isn't it?
I will wrap up here and move back to Baden Baden tomorrow. The Titanic will be brought somewhere where it cannot be found again. It is probably for the best this way.
I'll see you soon. *She gives a small smile before the feed cuts out.*

First of all, it's pretty annoying when you stop sexting midgame. I was waiting half an hour before I- You get the idea.
Could you prepare a copy of all the data, though? Anything related to Dinah, Simone and those nanobots could be helpful. I've assigned Leon to try his best and get into the matter, but it's not really his forté. Nevertheless, of all people on this ship, he's the most qualified for it. He said he'd like to extract a few of these nanobots from Simone and try to analyze them. The body scan is apparently not detailed enough for that level of depth.
Cuddle Dinah from me. We're currently doing a job for someone, nothing dangerous though, just time consuming. Will come to visit you two and Mittens and Woofers when we're done here.

Don't be such a girl about the game, alright?
Uhm, we haven't tried copying anything. It doesn't seem to be important enough to try it and we don't want to risk accidentally triggering some kind of contingency the Doctor placed there, although we might just be paranoid here. We also haven't found anything regarding Dinah or Simone. We found Simone's room, sure, but nothing about their growth process. I'm pretty sure they were not born here on this ship. There also isn't anything about these nanites. You would think there would be a kind of assemby site, but no.
I'm sorry, love. I think we both wanted to find something substantial here, but it seems like the ship is just a toy of some sort. We're currently trying to reconstruct the astrometry data of the ship in order to find out where it has been last. It'll take a while, though. I wish you good luck with whatever thing you're doing. You know where I'm staying, so come by whenever.
If you are wondering how I have access to this channel: The Titanic connected to it before and it was still there for me to contact. Doubtlessly your partner's work. Speaking of her, I believe that she might have gotten herself into trouble. I found genetic material of her in my laboratories on Boulogne. That, and one of my assistants was found in the medical bay with the skin of his throat peeled off by a hundred paper-cuts. Yes, your partner's DNA was found in the wound as well.
He survived, thankfully, but Alexandria is missing and I believe your partner might have been responsible for that. If so, I'd ask that you talk to your woman and get her to give me back my girl. I'm certain there is an argument to be made here that nearly killing my assistants to abduct an somebody isn't the best way of handling a perceived problem.

See, I would ask whether you are serious about the paper-cutting, but at this point I am sure about two things: You would not make that one up, and it certainly seems strange enough to be realistic for her. Do you know any context about any of this, though?
My ship will move to Gallia soon. If you would be so kind to tell the base administration to not panic when we show up again, that would be much appreciated. I will take care of Miss von Westefeld, then.
By the way, it would be better for all of us if she remains unharmed, or at least remains alive.
