there is the alternative of making them a mineable rock (like the little scrap metal thingys you shoot) so they 1. dont dissipate when server get above 80 and 2. they can drop something useful and that would give the order something new to take away and make smugglers cry.

Ooh. Very nice.

I seem to recall hearing that one can't animate ships, though, which might be a drawback to that design.

well, it can still be static if it has full freedom of movement. it'll be better than that old liberty battlecruiser:yahoo:

yeah, as long as it can move like an NPC, it will be fine. Maybe someday we can get a godly flhook script or (please god? want a pretzel?) the freelancer source code it can be animated
