Ive always enjoyed your RP. We dont get a lot of quality RP up in Alpha. Plenty of shooters, but not a lot of RP, with exception. Always enjoyable when you guys come to visit. I especially like that you guy spread rumors and information youve overheard. As Alpha is quite far from the regular trade lanes, we dont hear a lot of whats going on. Nice of you to keep us in the loop.
No complaints about your backstory. I am curious why some of your pilots dont carry at least one unit of Cardimine to show their addiction, but thats minor.
Have you considered a storyline about tracking down the Junker that betrayed you? Possibly get with some Liberty types to be the battlegroup that tracked you down. Would give you a sort of nemesis. Anything that pulls a story along is good.
You guys are one of the few good new factions and I look forward to see you going official. Keep it up.
Wow, that's an excellent idea with the Junker chase! I'll have to look into that.. thank you:)
And yes, I've been meaning to build up a reputation as gatherers of information, since we traverse the smuggling routes a lot.
And about the 1 unit of Cardamine, we try to. Sometimes you'll see us shortly after getting blown up, so we wont have any on us.:PPlus there are some of us who actually aren't addicted to Cardamine, coming from other places. For example, Xavier Fierceshot has never touched the stuff in his life. (But he will soon..) Whenever we stop at Malta, we always pick up a few units for ourselves.
Thanks again for taking the time to look over the request:)

My VR is fifty years old. Cardamine keeps her young-looking and....well...timeless.

I'm curious why your ZOI doesn't include Iverness, Newcastle, Tau-31, and Orkney? There are OC bases in Newcastle and Orkney, though not great smuggling bases (hopefully that will change in the future) and the others mentioned are connector systems. This would also give you an alternate corridor should any trouble occur in your current pathway.
I know Newcastle is just plain HUGE so it's not a viable choice for frequent travel but:
1. It has an Outcast base that is in the general area of the Tau-31 jumphole.
2. It has Molly bases so there's your chance to meet them and start relations.
3. If you anger the wrong Zoners and Baffin becomes cut-off for any amount of time you have a route that won't take you all the way back through Liberty space and out the far side.
Iverness, of course, has a Junker base. It's close enough to the route between holes that it's not too far out of the way but, in case you do become more hostile with Junkers, it won't cause much reason for concern either.
Tau-31 is rather hazardous and its only value is as a connector system.
Orkney, as stated, is only mentioned for it's inclusion of an Outcast base.
It seems to me that, while affiliated with Lane Hackers, your faction is most friendly with the Outcasts. You could RP delivering cardamine and other supplies to Cape Wrath Base (Newcastle) and Kirkwall Base (Orkney).

I do sincerely apologize for not knowing you guys HATE to be called hackers. See while on defense duty for Rochester a place we gladly let you guys call home when you need it. A xeno moved into our secure zone to which I responded with force. The VR happened to come across the scene and asked if we needed help. At that time their help wasn't needed so no request was given. After a few minutes another xeno arrived and announced his intention to engage. It was at this time that I asked the VR for help. My mistake came from saying "Could you Hackers help us with this one?". To which I was told to do my homework and that you are not Hackers but Vagrant Raiders.
I understand you wanting to be your own faction but I am sure you could see how some one might mistake you guys for hackers while in the field and in combat? You are using the ID and the IFF along with their ships and weapons.
Now when the Vagrant Raiders arrived I knew who they were and had even read up on you guys some. Since I was told to do my homework I decided to check you out again and see what I had missed. What I didn't read and still haven't found is your distinct hatred of being referred to as Hackers. I'd read where you guys were using Hacker ID and IFF. I did see you tell someone who asked if you were Hackers and your response was no. Still didn't see anything showing to NEVER refer to you as Hackers. So after my very simple mistake given the circumstances you guys chose to ignore the call to help? I even went as far as to try to apologize for my mistake in private comms to which I received no response. You really should let everyone know how much you hate to be referred to as hackers. Also if that someone does happen to make a mistake and refer to you as a hacker then all bets are off. Since you've listed us as "Friends" is there any mercy given for a simple mistake? Truly hope to not make that mistake again.
It does seem that karma was watching though. Shortly after both Vagrant Raiders chose to leave me to my own defenses they were cut down by the Liberty Navy. Wonder if a Junker was around to save your escape pod?
Hope you guys get your own faction and ID soon. That way it will be clear to anyone who sees you. Whether they are in combat or at first glance.
Well one, I think you've taken this way too personally. We're just trying to distinguish that the Vagrant Raiders are not Lane Hackers. Sorry if we offended you. I was very pleased to see a .:j:. explaining the difference between VR and LH, which was greatly appreciated. To address specific concerns:
Quote: You are using the ID and the IFF along with their ships and weapons.
We're working on obtaining new weapons and ships to try and distinguish.
Quote:I even went as far as to try to apologize for my mistake in private comms to which I received no response.
Who did you send it to? Mistakes happen, I can assure you, either the pilot in question did not see the PM, or was being attacked by the LN when you sent the message.
Again, thanks for the feedback, and nothing personal was meant by us trying to establish a differential between VR and LH, and the communications thing was very likely a mistake.
