The Zoners 'Corruption'...., How the hell this happened overnight?

this whole mess was made by people who don't have a notion who the Zoners are. it concerns both sides: those who attacked Zoners and some Zoners too.

I am not so active, I had many breaks in game, because of RL, but I am here long time. I love to be the Zoner, but I don't like who the Zoners currently are - powerful quasi house with limited responsibility. It is not the Zoners way and I understand why it annoys people. I did some comments about this in the past.

This situation was inevitable, this is not fresh fish, it smelt already, it was growing since few years. The source of it is in this mod itself, which gave Zoners powerful toys and removed the responsibility of use it.

I see we are going to push "undo" button and pose that nothing happened, but it will come back. I am sure of that.

Actually, the things go much deeper.

Apparently even after two houses and Corsairs declared Zoners are far from wanted, people are still pointing out how those two houses and Corsairs are wrong, and how Zoners are right.

I always figured it's Nooblet and Mudd and few others that stood firmly on that belief and others are just part of a bandwagon. Now apparently when Mudd got banned, some people ask if this could all be ctrl + z.
I'm afraid that doing that solves no situation.

War solves nothing as well, but it serves a purpose of making certain things clear.
As it appears now, those that play Zoners and still fully support decisions Zoners made believe that entire server is out to get them, and that sounds like a bigger conspiracy than admin one.
But, of course they are (zoners) all smart, and they know it's not a conspiracy, and then their mind kicks in something else - the "it's not me it's you" syndrome and it is easier to declare how everyone hates Zoners because they can - not because they got forced to do so by the Zoners themselves.

I'm not actually going to point out examples anymore, or call out names, or do I have any desire to get this post argued. Browse trough the last few zoner topics and you will find that I am merely saying what people have already said and discussed there.
I just think that if you give capital ships to neutral people and make them "the coolest in the game one11one" they will want to shoot someone with them eventually. It has begun few months or longer time ago when Zoners started asking people to refrain themselves from shooting at NPC patrols that were harassing people over Freeports.

I hope this gets roleplayed out. Because right now, it seems that the only Zoners that are struck with this problem are Zoners that live in Omegas, and Zoners that got involved themselves. (I saw a picture of few Corvo cruisers, couple of Eagles, some bombers and SCRA ships around, looks like you enjoy showing off your power after all)

Other Zoners could try to diffuse the situation, or as it might be the good chance - actually start forging different politics around different parts of Sirius.






At the moment situation pretty much reminds me of my brother while he was growing up. Mind you growing up with me is hard, and he's a spoiled brat. So whenever we would play some game together, he would be so riled up on victory and confident he was ready to bet on the game.

But when bad things started to happen (he received a goal) (Doc Holiday left) he started to moan and he started to complain about his joystick. Depending on the amount of his moan, I would either switch joysticks or tell him to piss off completely. Either way, I would never see the money we bet on (small amounts) because he wanted a do-over when he lost. But as long as he was winning? Man there's no stopping this kid.
Well sadly, having a sadistic brother who's working without a single paycheck for 2 years now, he has outgrown his "I have to win or nothing" phase and we actually started enjoying the games we play.

Until I flame the $hit out of him and he freaks out again ofc. But the bottom line is: Did you notice that the only constant feature of all your failed roleplay attempts - is you?

Zoners are not one nation, they are not unified. Single zoner can be responsible only for himself, single faction can be responsible only for own members. That is why many of them act like - "it's not me it's you" syndrome.
But treat all Zoners as one faction. This silly blanket bounty on Zoners is good example. I understand that the fault for such view is partly on the Zoners side. It is because of zoner council or alliance, that is seen and sometimes act like Zoners leadership, even if it can't rule over all Zoners.

I don't know what it happen, but this game is static between mod versions. I think, after short storm, things will come back to his paths. I will wait, one more break in game doesn't matter.

Simple. This shouldn't end. I don't know about bretonians and that fp 1 issue. But I know about corsair - zoner issues. And where things are going - it's getting stamp of approval from me. Why? instead of being a flameatron I'll try to state the thoughts.

* Corsairs always hated zoners. Always. If you don't believe me check vanila infocards (bartalks)
* Zoners stopped being useful while justifying their existence at corsair border. Food thing.
* Zoners allied with SCRA.. Guess what, if you want to be neutral - you don't ally with anyone.
* Corsairs danced on zoner music all the time.. not becouse they didn't had any other option, but becouse they put up with it. Even if corsairs will suffer lack of food, it won't prevent them from mass assualts and raids on zoner ships. Instead only provoke it. (most of people can't realize it)
* Instead of trying to solve it in rp, some zoner players starts the prick waving. Which is really disappointing and later leads it more to a personal grunge than to actuall rp
* Corsairs aren't push arounds. Some of them will rather starve then be pushed around. Will take by force instead of nagionations. All the time this game was played on zoner gameboard. Now sides switched. If sairs can't get what they want peacefully, will achieve that with brute force and terror. Simple.

All in all this situation is really a nice drama and intresting thing to expierence. Makes all this disco worthwhile staying. So, imo, keep it up.

You can take it personaly, or you can take it as a challange. For me it's just a game. If you get all pissed off or nervous just becouse of it. Most likely, it's your own problem.

Aren't you an aggressive one. I would not say Corsairs hated Zoners, not always, and they will never "always hate zoners"

Canaria is up there remember, Zoners offered shelter to Corsairs as well. And some of them left. Sure, you can consider them pansies but signs of Zoner - Corsair cooperation were always there.

But then few bad choices were made.
Also, all Corsairs that have Zoner chars please raise your hand?
Ok, now raise your hand if you just grinded enough credits to last you trough this Zoner hate? All of you? Thought so.

I wonder would this be postponed if some of those whales were still in use. Ha.

Ok, if the matter is being put this way, so let it be - hostility.
you want to solve it inrp? People have tried, and what was Corsairs answer? "provide food or die".
No arguments they want to listen. Maybe someone wants to be Corsairs pawn and provide food up to their mouths, I don't. Let them eat artefacts.
There is only one issue - Zoners IDs, that forbids them actively fight. At the moment they are like rams driven to slaughter.

Maggot do you even operate with your Zoner in Omegas? If you do you kinda do have to take a side. IE participate in something that does make you a zoner.

Zoners surely didn't occupy Omegas so they can lulz trough Corsair territory while bringing deuterium to GMG and bringing back Plutonium. - Free of charges?

Do you realize how big of a slap in a face is that? GMG is Corsair's enemy. They skirmish in Sigmas and stop advancement of Corsairs there. Their plutonium. Deuterium going to them. Ha.



Ok, nvm that route. let's say you trade something else? What can you possibly trade that's not from Corsair's enemies or going to Corsair's enemies? And you would like simple neutrality?


See whats going on here. It's like if we wife swapped, but you kinda didn't get my wife, actually you didn't get her mother either, but I got to bang your wife's mother as well.
