Brilliant, brilliant Idea!

OOHHHHHHH YEEEEEEEEAAAAA
Thanks Cannon, especially for the new cap ship ramming.
I am hesitant about the new mining mod, sounds like there may be some bugs (especially with the prices of scrap), but some ore is better then no ore. Thank you, I'll go and test things out for myself right now.
Quote:On the collision topic: I basically approve of this, but i'd be great if ships would suffer shield dmg upon collion first, and hull damage only with shields dow.
Shields block particles and asteroids you run into, why not other ships?
Following this logic, torpedos and missiles weould be ignoring shields as well.
While your logic is flawless and reasoning good, dont forget that ramming larger ships is against server rules.
Think of this as a 'mini sanction' with the admins taking 1/8th your hull for being naughty;)
Anyone mind putting together a list of the mining ores and their new sell prices? Perhaps the time it takes to mine them now and also, if you're really up to it, some tests on the length of time it takes to deplete a field?
This could seriously add a new dimension to the game. However, there is just one fear I have. It all depends on how long it takes resource fields to regenerate, is it every server reset or does it regenerate within a couple of hours?
Just been to Tau 23 for the first time today. Mining seems great but would you Adam and Eve it? The wingeing has already started. Apparently there are only 'SOME' people who can 'officially' mine there now. I myself am an indie.
