"Yeah, I just do silly stuff all the time. All of the time." he draws the syllables out. He looks around again.
"Actually, I came to find . . . any of you. Its been a long time, and I kinda missed you guys." he says as he leans forward to take a better look at her. "Is she around? We'd have to talk to her about the Shikoku trip after all." he stumbles out, trying to think of something more useful to say to her after all this time.
Shrugging slightly. "Yeah, she's around here somewhere. Last I saw her was at the bar, she seemed to be tal-.. well.. it kinda looked like arguing, I couldn't understand half the words that were being said. It was with this weird gallic guy. Well.. Uhh.. Putting it better, I could hear them fine, it's just the words.. I've never heard of half of them before, so I merely left."
Sighing, running a hand through her hair as she looks thoughtful for a moment.
"Really? Will you actually consider taking me over there for a little? I aalllwaayys wanted to taste Kusarian food. Well.. I mean I have before, but it's been so long that I don't really remember it. Uhh.. Two weeks. But still! Tara has been going out to the Omicrons though lately, Izzy wanted more stuff. She's back now though for a little while."
"Imagine that, she found someone to argue with. Oh well, I guess I should go see what is going on with that then. I'll leave you to your stargazing missy. I'd say to think of what you want to do on Shikoku, but we'll just see about that. She might not be too happy to have me back out of the blue like this.
Hope she isn't of a mind to kill me.
He grabs his hat, neatly seating it back on his head. With a groan he stands up again. With a short tip of the hat he gets on his way to the bar, for a drink and to meet Susan.
"I don't really think she would react that badly, although then again, she has seemed to be rather stressed after she came back from work last.. Well, i'll be thinking about what to do then! Come back when you finish, promise!"
Giggling quietly to herself, springing to her feet and running back over to the tree she was up before, seeming to have taken a liking to that specific plant in general and slowly begins to climb it. Actually doing it quite quickly, being quite nimble on her feet.
With a wave, he made his way out. As soon as he got out of sight of the girl, he pulled a vaporizer out of a coat pocket and took a puff off of it.
Poor thing. I guess I couldn't expect it to have gotten much better after all. Maintaining is about as good as it gets with this deal.
He paused for a moment to gain his composure before entering the bar.
I can't look like I did the last time she saw me.I'm here now. I owe it to her, to them, to give this a serious try this time.
He walks over to the bar to pick up a drink. The rocks glass clinks with the two cubes of locally harvested ice, and then they are lifted up amid a pool of well spirits. He holds the glass in the same hand as his vaporizer, and swirls the familiar weight in his hand. He leans his free arm on the bar for a moment, scanning the room for the target of his personal mission. He spots her, taking note of her now blonde hair . . .
Its a shame, her natural color works better on her, I think.
His gaze then falls on her conversational partners.
And I'm guessing one of these is Captain Gallia that she was arguing with. This man here . . . what the heck is wrong with him? Can't put my finger on it right now, but something is definitely wrong with that man. Is it his mannerisms? Guess I will find out soon.
Having done his basic reconnaissance, he leaves the safety of his natural habitat and ventures forth to meet "Susan" and introduce himself. He traces a curved path to her. stopping at a fairly close distance but behind the Gaul, hoping that she might simply notice him standing there.
I'm scruffy, but, well, its hard to mistake me. And she is such an observant girl, probably saw me when I walked in.
Finishing up her talk with Achillie, still wondering in her head how a man could be as.. stubborn as he was, yet that he was. As he leaves the bar, she slouches over the bar with a quiet groan, glancing up at the barkeeper and mumbles just loud enough for him to hear her. "After that, I need another please.." Watching delightfully as another glass is filled up and slid across the bar over to her. Knowing full well that she cannot hold it down too well, although after that, she is alright with that.
Taking her first sip, she says without looking up. "Well Mark, don't just sit a few seats away gawking. Comehere. What on earth are you doing here. I believe you left with the words that I wouldn't be seeing you again, as well as a few various curse words."
Walking over to her, he takes a seat closer to his new conversational partner.
"I was drunk? Sorry?" he says as he gives her a confused look for a few moments, before shaking his head and giving a shrug.
He sets the drink down on the counter and takes another puff on his vaporizer.
"I missed you guys? Well, not Mr. psychopath, but otherwise. You know, its a wonder how some time not under direct observation, with people you like being threatened daily can change your outlook on things. But . . . you know, I'm not even that upset about the whole thing anymore."
Giving him a sideways glance, curious at what he was getting at. Her mind not running at full capacity due to the few glasses that she has drunk so far, yet her curiosity was perked at what her old acquaintance was trying to get at.
"You.. missed us? That sure is something I never thought I would hear come out of your mouth. You get used to the life, and from there you merely take pleasure in it. It doesn't work with some people, and they turn out like you do. Yet you speak as if you changed your mind on the whole ordeal."
Sighing, shaking her head.
"Well? What are you getting at. Are you going back into seclusion at some planet like you did before, or is there something more you're after."
Shrugging slightly, glancing to her right a little. "Well, I suppose it's your decision to make. I expect you aboard the Bell, it's currently in mooring port eight. Until then, feel free to float around the Freeport as well. It seems that I have some more responsibility around here which i'll be working with eventually."
"Of course, I have work elsewhere as you most likely know. Perhaps something even you could help me with. It's your decision to go along this once more, remember that. You may not get out a second time."
Stetching, glancing around the bar once more, mumbling something quietly relating to someone going missing once more. The beer that she had drunk obviously having some sort of effect on her. Glancing around once more, she stands up.
"Well Mark, I'm going to take a nice long nap."
Tossing him a chip.
"Entrance key to the ship, don't lose it or I'll be quite frustrated with you."
Yawning, slowly walking off to the exit of the room.
