I think some people might be missing the point of the Jump Drive. This mod and such is to encourage a fictional world, and have people who are willing to act out parts in said world. The jump drive, as a part of the mod, is meant to "up the ante" of those who are willing to participate in an RP. THerefore factions would be able to band together and "attack/escort/defend...blah" as an RP event, opportunity. That is why the drive is so hard to use. Its all about RP and fun. I've had a great time when participating in faction events and such things. This just makes it that more.....interesting....to participate in things.
Will people need to use jumpdrives to get to New Cambria/New Anglia systems?

EDIT: Although I do find it troubling that a large part of the bretonian storyline centers around New Anglia IIRC, and that was never changed even though the systems were cut, at least from the initial release....
cloak stuff seems interesting, but Ursus had a point, what's the mean of patrols then? i think that if somethins is implemented, something to counter it must be implemented too.... some sort of scanner?, some manner to cut the cloaking?, making the cloak only works unless someone is at certain distance from you?, is true, some traders can use a lot of the space for fuel.... if they want to cut the benefits, as the pirates we'll have to consideer too, a cloaking system well used is indeed a powerful tool, but there's should be a good way to counter it.
