Just for everyone shouting about how Zoners would run to the nearest station. (Also, I laugh at the idea of a Nephilim running from a few fighters or a gunboat with fighter escort. That's not good RP, that's just stupid.)
A zoner nephilim facing a few fighters or a gunboat is an entirely different story. But then, who would bring a few fighters to take down a nephilim?
A battleship would be met, in my opinion, with an equal or superior force. And if that happens, would the zoners onboard the Nephilim continue the fight?
I also read somewhere that the Nephilim was supposed to be a colonization vessel not a battleship. Do not know where I got that from though...

The lore of the vessels is meant to be the whole "superior force/end to all ends". Colonisation capability included or not.
Equal force. Who shoots first, wins. As a player, I'd wait for something to come into one of the situation where I can shoot first, so I can win.

Well... That tells something. I feel needed to admit that my above logic fails when it comes with Nephilims only encountering equal or lower force.
Still, I believe it remains standing when it comes to superior force or a zoner owning anything lower than a capital ship or possibly... a Nephilim?
Also, recently, I've seen most of these nephs flown only by indie zoners. Rarely i've seen a nephilim owned by a zoner faction. Another question, is it favored by indie zoners only or faction zoners use it as well?

The logic for running when a superior force is presented is a sound military tactic. (Guerilla warfare?)
Also, I will not venture into the past to describe previous Zoner factions capital collection, because the ZONERZONERZONER squad will appear and troll just below the line of moderation, or be moderators themselves.
Edit: I find the two to be balanced currently, from what I have seen, but the independents tend to use their capitals more.
I love how this turned into ''that'' thread again..

Srsly, those nomads were utterly and HORRIBLY ganked each time they attempted to gather, over the week. because everybody loves to pew noms, and that's indeed fun and completely normal.
now, when they ganked someone, that's suddenly a problem. Are u friggin srs? Those guys aren't even what you call [strike]"veteran"[/strike] medium fighters, most pros out there would easily take on 3 of them at once. Some of the playerbase never ceases to amaze me, when it comes to that...
P.S. One of those corsair legates that participated in ganking nomnoms during the last week.
P.P.S. Somehow, I don't see QQ threads when Kruger|, and after them CMB| lost their base and extreme amounts of spent resources/hours due to 10+ Red Hessian Jorms, partially thanks to changes in death penalties. 2 hours on death turns to be a very low penalty for base sieging against a dedicated force.
But one Neph and some other stuff got scrapped in Omicrons by 20 snubs, and here you go - 6 pages already.
*performs an epic facepalm ritual*

This actually perfectly describes my thoughts as I read this. I was in-game and watched the large group of "Sw'arm" Nomads around Zeta the other day. "Ganking"--and I dislike that term--is, of course, a two-way street. I've had two or three separate FLEETS hunt me alone down before, which I distinctly remember, and on the flip side I've operated with fleets to destroy 'inferior' forces.
Is the problem here that Nomads aren't giving proper RP when fighting? Well, that's an easy one. The definition of roleplay is "to play a role." What is the role of the Nomads, pray tell? To blow things up. They don't talk. They don't communicate normally. They roleplay by shooting. That's why the ID was closed all those years.
Now, as far as Zoners. That's a bit trickier, but I do agree with a lot of what was said. Historically, look at it: who was there at the battle of Omicron Minor? Core, Order, Nomads. Zoners notably absent. I'm not saying they shouldn't fight per se, but the Zoner fleet shouldn't march out to do battle, especially since the majority of Nomad ships are snubs now, while the majority of ships in the Omicrons seem to be battleships and carriers.
Beyond that, I won't comment much on Zoners. zonerzonerzoner.

Wrong. Completely and utterly wrong.

Right. Nomads own the Omicrons, not Zoners.
Zoners aren't the Omicron Police, they're a group trying to leave peacefully away from governments. Want to play as an Omicron Police? Play as a Core or Order player, not a Zoner.

It looks good in theory but in the field the evidence shows a stupid move.
If anything is stupid about this, it's that you seem to think that 20 nomads attacking a human battleship in the omicrons shouldn't happen.
Things were broken when zoners could just go into the nomad main systems, farm npcs, and fly through the omicrons without any fear of nomads. When flying a LNS cap in New York was more dangerous than flying a Zoner cap in Iota.
Now, they are fixed. At least the omicron part.
You probably gained the wrong impression of how things should really be because they were badly twisted before.
