Duty is fun to me.
Being part of the team is fun to me.
Fun to you is not that, so dont do it.
But to others, it is fun.
And Hunter I do apologise for my earlier outburst.
I don't apologise for the words, but for my own attitude and how I said it.
The fact was even if you made a mistake, someone who in the roleplay,
is an authority in that place, noticed and told you to move on. And you didnt. You directly
disobeyed an order from a "police officer". And complained in system chat via OORP.
Then you came on here and instead of doing this the right way, which is IN CHARACTER
on the LN diplomatic channels, you decide to do it out of roleplay and and start a trial by forum.
Yes, I honestly think you got what you deserved, because due to FL mechanics there is no tractor beam,
or "handcuff" style thing. It's live or die. So because there is no way to peaceably restrain or tractor somone
the only options left are to shoot under threat of death. You didnt comply, so you got shot.

' Wrote:In general, I am happy with the RP system, its just that people play the game seriously and don't even have any fun, they're sorta stuck to it because of player factions. I think police Rpers are the worst offenders, guarding places because of 'Duty'.
Believe it or not, it's fun to play soldier.
I used to have a Navy character, but ditched it as the population was too thick to begin with. I enjoyed it a lot, it combined a black & white faction list with ample RP opportunity if you just knew what you were doing.
My advice to you guys is to go explore the other houses. See if there's an area of Sirius that you like the look of. If you do, see if theres a faction there, maybe consider joining it.
If you don't like the LN, either leave Liberty or become a criminal and be able to shoot them. It's your choice.
Either way, maybe we could cease this endless debate and enjoy the game, for that is what it is.
Right, just to spell this out nice and clearly, although I believe this was already brought up and cleared up somewhat by Virus in another topic related to Zone 21.
We will not sanction anyone staying within server rules and the Admins do not interfere in interfaction roleplay and diplomacies, unless it gets totally utterly ridiculous like the Order allying with the Keepers, but then that A) wouldn't happen and B) would constitute a breach of the rules anyway.
So, if the official Liberty Navy tells you to get the hell out of Liberty, you do it or you die along with all the rest of the pirate scum that infest Liberty. If they tell you to stay away from Alaska then again you comply, or you'll quickly find yourself killed.
In short, roleplay your character, abide by the House laws and you will be fine. Upset because your mercenary isn't allowed in Liberty or Rheinland? Perhaps try playing another type of character, or looking elsewhere in Sirius for your jollies. Sirius doesn't consist solely of Rheinland and Liberty, you know.
No Eppy, we can't have a ban. He's entitled to be miffed with the RP, that's no reason to ban him. If he breaks server rules then maybe, and only maybe.
Hunter you're entitled to have an opinion, but the RP rules are enforced by the players. So long as they stick to server rules whilst they are at it, they'll not be sanctioned.

I was joking, Del. But, frankly, if you're not here to RP you shouldn't be here at all. That's what this community does, and I'd really rather not see it turn into Void. RP isn't optional. That's the idea, isn't it?

doesnt matter, not EVERYTHING has to result in a ban. and yea i can RP, and i can be here if i want like you or any one else. So yea im not going to even get started there, so let it go and let this thread be locked already.
And another thing, all i see is people using the word "Fankly" is that all they can use to get there point across is "Fankly fankly fankly"
My point came across a little weirdly, he's entitled to be miffed with the level of RP, he should still maintain some RP as you are quite right, RP is mandatory not optional.
