Did another convoy today. During the mining what I think was a destroyer came in and headed into our fields to attack us. When it realised it forgot
to stock up with nanobots and batteries it tried to flee, but given it went straight for our mining fields, stopped at the transport, stopped it and then
decided to say he's leaving peacefully, the MNS-Azure.Window ship was promptly destroyed, though the pilot's escape pod was not detained. Pilots
present were myself, IMG|Pathfinder, IMG|Worship.the.ore, IMG|Mike.Hamilton[R], IMG|Brent.Evans, IMG|Splitter, and CR|-CM-Party.Smasher.
After which myself, [ALG]-TGX-Thaya, IMG|Never.Early, IMG|Totalizer, and Leon of CR|-CM-Party.Smasher set off with the Niobium. It was a little
chaotic, as um... I think Leon was a little tipsy... He certainly had trouble navigating lanes, flew off towards the sun a bit in Manchester instead of
the planet, and was very um... crass at us ladies. Anyway I stuck at the T-Last role and we didn't loose him so we got to Berlin all fine.
After mining O-7 with the local division, we were joined by the IMG|Marli.Evanz, and IMG|Croft[R] for the silver trip, and Mr. Henderson Junior (Sean) scouted for us. Sean was much better at keeping things together, so um... I was much less stressed and overwhelmed.
After drop-off, we headed into the Taus, and moved a tiny bit of FOW to Siloso.
I am back in active service from this day on and partook in an engagement within the T23 system right away.
Two cruisers were taken down by combined IMG and CR forces; I have taken down a Falcata and Switchblade by myself.
Also, I added three kills from my backlog.
-----
Before these events in the Taus, I escorted two convoys.
The First one went from Java to New Berlin, over the Bretonia route and Omegas. During this convoy, one Corsair gunship was taken down by the Transports.
A pirate and Outcast, who caused some trouble, or tried to do so, were taken down in T23.
-----
I escorted a mixed convoy consisting of Colonial, IMG and ALG ships. No pirate encounters on the way. The cargo consisting of Niobium Ore was transported over the Bretonian route.

I am pasting a copy of the report that I have done to the Gateway Shipping people after our insane Liberty convoying yesterday. Great job, people!
To make it short:
Transports that flew all the time can claim 4 completed runs
Escorts that were there all the time can claim 4 escorting runs
Especially the convoy kills that we collected were awesome. Again, my special thanks to all the escorts who assisted and who made it easy to get the job done safely.
Convoy 1: Niobium to Denver
Fight 1: Downed a pirate between Trenton and Gateway base
Fight 2: Downed another pirate on the way back to Trenton
The Liberty Navy was taking a look at what we were doing. I think they were impressed and did not even intervene, but mentioned that they would like their logistics department to work like we do.
Then they confiscated my necklace, that they classified as an "artifact".
Fight 3: Front scouts eliminated a threat before convoy arrived, the kill will be reported by Mr. Lister.
The remaining two convoys can be seen in the report that I made for Gateway. See the attachment below.
I want to mention that the security consisting mainly of IMG| Defense, BHG Escorts, and Colonial Navy did a tremendous job in securing the shipments. The damage to my Shire is almost negligible, while the damage on the attackers' side always consisted of ship destruction.
Even later in the Taus, the security force kept us transports all safe, so we could finish the Basic Alloy run to Siloso.
Quote:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Julia Morrow and I was leading yesterday's convoy that established the first IMG - Gateway contact in Cortez via supplying your base construction site.
We ran several convoys to the base from Trenton Outpost, taking Industrial Materials to the base until the required amount was completed.
Colonial Transports also joined in, before the Colonial Navy took over the job of security, as we realized that Liberty has a lot of criminals. The convoys and their protectors consisting of BHG convoy experts, Colonial pilots, Freelancers and experience IMG transports took out several enemies.
I thought it would make sense to establish this comm channel contact, so we can coordinate for the future. Yesterday's trip into Liberty was not the last one and we are looking forward for more cooperation.
As the convoys themselves have been thoroughly reported, this report will only include combat related events.
First of all, two Stortas have been downed in the T23 system. The latter one with help from the BHG and CR. Furthermore, T23 engagements before the recent convoys resulted in a few pirates being eliminated to the secure the southern Beryllium fields and an EFL transport.
During the Liberty convoy, four pirates tried their best to steal from us, while I was there, but they did not get away with it.
Lastly, nearing the end of the operation, the convoy had to cross a hot zone in T23, the operation succeeded, but the Outcasts engaged us right after the transport passed the area. I took down four of them in the fight, and they lost their cruiser aswell.

Quite some flight time we clocked this week. I guess, there was also a bit of a backlog, but here it is.

Intercept Mission:
I single-handedly intercepted an Outcast 101st BWT when he was trying to get slaves to Alpha. We agreed to exchange his 420 slaves against the Outcast pilots that I had picked up and a few units of Cardamine that I had also tractored. The transfer was done successfully at FP10 and I saw the BWT leave with a load of Pharamceuticals.
Kills & Assistst
Intense fighting in the Taus made me crashdock my Fighter a few times, but I avoided shiploss for quite a while. I successfully assisted or took out the following ships myself:
1. CL}Nerastro
2. CL}Vergil.Santos
3. CL}Drago.Celestino
4. Hunter-Gatherer

A new group of Corsair gunboat pirates have found their way to the Omegas. We finished off some, lost some ships in the fighting, too, but managed to keep the transports and miners safe for most of the time.

Ehm, yes. So... hm. Where to start. I guess from the end this time. Guildcomms should know that the crew that I took into Liberty today with the convoy from Omegas is stranded on Curacao.
Close to the end of our convoy, we were struck by massive solar eruptions in Cortez and hit by ion storms shortly later. The Teardrop suffered electronic damage and was pushed into the construction site of the Gateway base. The damage is light, but the elecronic systems on all our ships have to be checked.
We are forced to get these repairs done at Curacao. We are still holding the cargo of Industrial Material for the Gateway construction site and will deliver it tomorrow. The picture shows the convoy shortly before it got hit by the ion storm.
We dodged several snub pirates and drove a Corsair Cruiser off by a determined and surprising counter attack of our battle transports, in a tactically good position. He cruised away, after having given up on the attack near the bases against a convoy with teeth.
The last pictures show the convoys from Taus to Omegas, and from Omegas to Denver.
So, we have found a place to sleep and we will make sure to accomplish the mission tomorrow. Julia and the Lost Convoy, over and out!
