Being the huge projects that they are, building them would be a huge undertaking, which is best done in house space and not some remote backwater. The colonists could also be picked up in house space instead of being gathered from a remote zoner station. For example some Zoner Guru could be gathering followers to join his cult in house space with the intention of leaving civilization later. In the case of Med Force 1, I can see it being a hospital that treats a large amount of patients in war zones like Leeds, rather than in a remote place with low population density. But I guess everyone has their own way of seeing things but I would like to see diversity in RP rather than a very limited spectrum. If some zoners want their ships to have some secret technology onboard and wants to avoid house space for that reason, they're free to do it but I don't see why everyone should be forced to RP it that way.

Sounds like another good reason to replace the Neph's Battleship weaponry with transport turrets.

its not a bad ship. 3 hellbore neph can ts very well. its deadly even to light strafing bs
I just had thought. Why not take all the Nephs on the sever load them to as they call for bear and invade houses one at a time. If they win they get house usage if the lose then they don't. HAHAHAHAHHA
Never mind just my insanity.... Woooo where are my meds
>Docking Nephs in House Space
>Nephs in house space
>NEPHS IN HOUSE SPACE
I'm sorry, we're talking about Zoners, yes? Because last time I checked, Zoners didn't Touch house space with a barge pole unless they needed to.
>Classify Nephs as a Liner
>Give Nephs Transport Turrets
>NEPHS AS A LINER
>NEPH TRANSPORT TURRETS
Whoever suggested this needs to realize the following:
1. Zoners live in the fringes of space. A Colony ship being decked out with BS Weapons is MORE THAN REASONABLE. Anything less would be an insult, and inRPly, I wouldn't board a Neph if it only had transport turret mounts. You can strap as many Dulzians to the bastard as physically possible and sell it for the same price as oxygen, I still won't touch it unless I have a battleship escort.
2. I'm already sick of the joke that is "Liners" in Discovery. Even though it has Cruiser weapons and Cruiser shields, we still, for god knows what reason, have the Bustard Civilian CARRIER designated as a freaking Liner, other than for the reason of "BEcause Freelancers can use it". Why not give such ships the classification of LCVs (Light Capital Vessels) and merge that with Gunboats just how Battleships and Dreads are part of the same group and add that to Permitted ships for Freelancers. Not to mention, on the topic of bat**** ship specs, Why the hell is the Whale not able to pack a heavier shield? I mean, I understand It's a transport, but it's freaking huge! Realistically thinking, a shield bubble for that thing would need at least a cruiser-class shield.
3. I already made a suggestion to make the Nephilim harder to obtain. I love the neph, it's a gorgeous ship, and frankly, I'm considering a SRP for one if and when my char leaves the FP11 Administration, that or a custom ship based on its' core design, like the Persephone is, but I'm sick of seeing the Neph being used by Lolwuts who have no freaking idea on god's green Gran Canaria how in the everliving hell to roleplay a Zoner properly, not to mention the fact these things are supposed to be RARE. I suggested hiking up the price of a Neph by making it 700-800M credits, possibly adding a jumpdrive or something to sweeten the deal. And no, I'm not alone in this mindset, some of the CoF members I've talked to about this have spoken their complaints about the lolneph situation.

Never said that. I've tried other things but just never did very well with it. I've taken RL experiences and built myself on all of it. It's just my style.

As I said before, I agree and therefore don't. It's why, as Karlotta pointed out about say, MF1 being in Leeds for humanitarian reasons, I won't do it. Besides that, the houses have all but banned foreign capital ships in there space so by law, it couldn't. IF it were allowed for said humanitarian reasons, I would be caught between the Gallic Royals and Bretonia giving me crap about "harboring and aiding enemies." No thanks!

Karlotta, you're sounding like my old friend, Zelote, on this. He once said to me that the Zoners should disarm if they truly want peace. Why? So that it's easier for pirates and God knows who else can "push them around easier?" We both know that would be the end result. I guess I'll add to my original thought. A true Zoner will negotiate and talk first but if forced to fight, they will. Me? I've vested too much time in my assets to watch all of my RP cargo and work get shot away.

THIS.
My character may not be a "True Zoner" by way of familial connections or through years of living on 11 like many other Zoners, but this is how she, and I percieve the way of the Zoner, as it were - Talk first, shoot later. Unfortunately, with People like Michal Golanski and the now deceased Erik Nodtviet and groups like the Slomon K'hara and the Commune, they push people around, and ergo, we have to shoot first and get them to come to the table later.
I'd like for Order to not be brought up in this senseless debate. For us, in what form Juggernaught will be and in what capacity it is used (whether in tandem or opposition to its intended use is of no importance) has no connection as to how high or low the Order activity will be despite "allmighty Delta miracle man" Lythrilux would like to lead you to believe. Zoners make their own diplomacy on individual basis and often pay gargantuan price for this privilege in cases of a major disfunction, wherever adept political operators like Doc could convince even greatest Zoner-hater to allow parking of his entire fleet over his home if Doc so wanted.
If it ain't Zoners, it will be LNS in Iota or way, far degeneratively worse. Nothing changes. Same players will be shot for simmilar or same behaviour because people rarely learn. Maybe it will be Order swarm - who knows - but will this grind progress quality of role play besides industrial farming for obscure PoB commodities sake?
