If I can haz a mini razor, nuke, and other stuff along with these guns, then why not :P

By equipment > skill I didnt take such extremes into consideration. I meant differences like between 600 and 700 guns, differences between ships, etc., not extreme situations obviously.

True enough, but 200m/s will make the difference between skilled players and the worse ones smaller.

Im not entirely against it, but 200m/s is too much.

What we actually found in testing is rather opposite... a skilled player would hit so much, that an unskilled dodger would find it very hard to dodge fire... So you could rape with guns, it's just spectacular, how much gameplay improves with such a small setup...

We should test things out, for sure...

Anyhow 100 m/s boost is much more resonable and should be done if 200m/s is to much... but while fighting the fights are the same, they last 15 -25 minutes if you want to, you can still flee if you want to, everything is the same but more exciting...

Much like if your GF came home with D cups instead of C's ....

You see, that's the point. You should be using your primary weapons to deal most of the damage, not nukes, razors or any other stuff.

And if this suggestion makes it into ingame, you will be able to.

Nah, putting 400 - 500 m/s (in overal) and more will make dodgind sensless. Group fights faster then anything else. And you will have people whining. our know what will happen if 5 ships wil jump on you in a group fight. You will go kapysh faster then yer be able to switch weapon groups. Besides sometimes I really enjoy the slower fights, becouse stomtimes its the only way to oppose the ganking force.

In short: Nuisense

15 % - 20 % should do the thing.

Yes we have tried it... it works marvelous... Even now you have some 600m's weapons and then again some 750 ms weapons...

If you compare them you generaly get what tiny a diffrence it is... those 200 m/s... gameplay is virtualy the same... yet somehow a lot more fun.

If we go to a 500 m/s boost, then it would totaly change everything... that would hardly resemble Freelancer as we know it... but a small 100 or 200 boost makes things more or less perfect, a lot more the way at least I'd want them. Faster yet still skill playing a major part, perhaps even a more major part than now...
