Research? It says nowhere when my character became Chief. I looked around. 813 he could indeed have been Chief. Context? Hardly. Your posts throughout all of this shows that that is indeed your attitude. Really, if HA didn't exist, would you even care? Answer that truthfully. You see this as a personal attack on your group, which it isn't. It's me pushing for a change I've always wanted. And since you happen to lead a new group based off our corruption, you feel you can raise hell and complain? Maturity. Feel free to be based off the LPI's current corruption, please. You have no idea how many times my Xeno used to decry the Texan prisons as evil slave camps where "50% of the inmates are innocent men being oppressed." Be based off of USI corruption or corruption in Liberty in general. I don't care, this thread ain't about HA and it ain't about personal attacks, it's about change. If this community is so against change, well maybe we shouldn't have factions at all.
Liberty would not be Liberty if the Police weren't Incorporated and as corrupt as they are.
That doesn't necessarily mean that they need to sell slaves, but it does mean that you can't change the very nature of the faction you play, sorry. If you want "lawful good" police, try the BPA. They could use the activity.

There is a misconception here, nicely illustrated by Sprolfs post.
The LPI, on a macro level, do not break the law.
On a micro level, individuals taking bribes, sure.
But the entire company being a sack of evils? No.
The LPI on a macro level are completely legal. Rounding up homeless folks on charges of vagrancy, squatting and so forth isn't even trumping up charges, its completely legal. And that's the key thing here.
Slaving is not legal. Either it is and the LPI engage en-mass in its profession, or it's not and any slaving charges are limited to individuals within the force selling small amounts of people that have somehow ended up in their care. Not selling five thousand souls at a time to any random guy who by chance happens to look latino.
It's not the lore of the LPI faction to be corrupt from the fringe to the centre.
In the same way that it's not the lore of the Molly faction to be invading Gran Canaria, for example.

Which is exactly what we've been trying to say.

Ok, since it seems that you can only post if you are, or were in LPI and did that funny test with patriot.
Ok, first off:
People, learn to discuss, if you cant, round up your own ass and jump into freezing tank to cool off, possibly read an instruction booklet on "how to communicate"
Second off:
Issue 1. Selling of slaves, yes it should be removed from LPI bases.
Issue 2. No, LPI should not ever become pristine clear and uncorrupt, since it would remove the atmosphere it gives to Liberty.
Issue 3. LPI players, ralize that your rp is nothing harder than any other, if not even easiest of them all since you can play anyone, with any ideology and morals you seem fit, and pull it off without making a big difference. If you wish to play honest policemen, join BPA.
Speaking of misconceptions, people universally seem to fail to grasp the finer points of my posts which I don't explicitly state. Of damn course the alternate human commodity I suggested would be legal, there's no reason at all the LPI base should be selling something illegal.
Ugh. I'm done here, not that this is accomplishing anything.
Boss, and I'm flaming?
I'm self aware enough to realise that you're a bit wrong here.
Though, I might get close to it if I continue to post here amid this boolsh.

It stood you came back to Chief of Police in 815 according to the Wiki after the other one was in got assassinated.
It was taken out of context, you took it from a skype chat regarding an entirely different subject. Then it was out of context, or maybe I haven't clearly understood the definition of these words "out of context".
No I wouldn't care as much if HA didn't exist.

No I do not. I see it as something that will affect me, not a personal attack though. If this idea gets pushed through I can survive with it, you won't be seeing any complain threads if it does gets through. But now when the idea is pending, I have the right to share my opinion as much as you have the right to defend your idea.
Haven't raised hell, I have said my opinion on the matter and some of you have decided to personally attack me on several occasions on this thread, and I have replied back. You have the right to say things about me but I don't have the right to defend myself? And then I'm being called immature and trying to "raise hell"? Haha, very funny.
Wait a minute, is it your or is it me who keeps bringing up HA? Or personal attacks, who started them? The hypocrisy is astonishing.
It's about change, and just because certain changes dosen't get made, dosen't mean this community is against changes in general, you are exaggerating and playing with words here. You present an idea, you get different opinions, I have said mine, just because I don't agree with yours, just means one thing, everyone is not agreeing. Then if my opinion means something or not, well that's up to the developers/Igiss/the fellas who make the changes come true, isn't it?

My personal opinion on this is, as some people have suggested, to move the slaving to Houston.
"But it says LPI on it!" I hear you cry. Well, just because it says LPI on the tag doesn't mean it's going to be completely legal, does it? To take a modern world example, America is controlled by the president, senate, etc., but there are still illegal things going on which the president probably doesn't know about, or can't track down and remove, so what makes you think that once humanity reaches the stars, everyone on a police controlled planet would be a law abiding citizen? Chances are, the police just have some control over the docking facilities in addition to what police today have. A prison, however, is likely to be much more under police control, with only very rare outside visitors, so basing a slave-trading operation off it wouldn't work.
Right, I'm going to quickly post some salient points and then take a shower.
-LPI DOES NOT SELL SLAVES.
-LPI DOES NOT SELL SLAVES.
-LPI DOES NOT SELL SLAVES.
...
...
We seeing a pattern yet? Good, pattern recognition is important.
EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS THREAD IS UNNEEDED.
