If nerfing the diamond / niobium run is the goal then don't tax but also don't kill on sight (that would indeed be bad). Demand dropping of the cargo and blow it up. If the trader refuses... well... they had their chance.
It says that certain factions should have some "terrorist rights" inside
one specific system.. Like Colorado for Xenos, Frankfurt for Bundschuh and
Kyushu for farmers.. If there's a trader going to New Berlin with Niobium for example..
= He is supplying the Rheinland fascist war machine = The cargo must be prevented from
reaching it's destination! You get my idea? I'm not some sort of pvp whore, just wanted
myself to get clear at this point..
Regards
demand cargo instead tax or demand brutaly high taxes (8m or similar) and every trader refuse... than you can blow them:)Do it few days and you can be sure they will stop NB-NT run when they mark [BU] online :)
Yeah.. Well last time I tried to demand 1,5 million tax.. They refused..
(Unfortunately I was flying Loki not my bomber)
No need for something brutal, traders on the diamond route are not used
to taxing.. Looks like someone will have to teach them..
And yes we could do some taxing with our Pirate Train and +-3 fighters to
demand and confiscate cargo..

Thats a good suggestion
Dont get dissapointed if they dont pay tax or disobey, though. When I started in Hessians we had Corsairs in Dresden and traders passing Omega 11 full time. Now I dont see Cosairs flying in Dresden and trader activity in Omega 11 mystically reduced. Shimada started going to Omega 3, guess what, traffic reduced.:)Traders used to shoot us back, now they are trying hard to avoid us hehe...
Also dont get mad if you get blown up a lot, actually, expect that everytime you fight those RM. I dont know about Franfurt, but New Berlin is angry independents zone. If there are three uf us and we see a RM we shoot a few shots and retreat, we know that the indies will be coming:DOther than that, RM are great pilots, they are bad enough without those code weapons that they are using.
I wish you luck, hope you stay here for a looong time.
Yes RM pilots are aces to be honest.. The day we created our chars
one RM member came to Frankfurt asteroid field to have a look at us..
Fight took about 15 minutes with nowhere near ending then he went to
resupply and asked me if we are up for another round.. He was alone against
four Bundschuh fighters.. (But if I remember it correctly everyone of us made
it to Bruchsal alive :))
With RM standing vigilant, nerfing of NL->NT route won't be so easy..
(Or at least I hope so.. Gonna be a challenge)
' Wrote:Just wanted to post here and let everyone know that we're doing our job. We gave two [RM] a pretty good time today just off of New Berlin. Ran one off, and the other one got me while I was typing. Dunno what happened after that, but I knew he was in poor shape.
Activity has been good, and everyone is starting to get set up pretty well. I'm personally looking into investing in a Falcata bomber for a little more artillery. I'm pretty excited about the way things are looking for the Bundschuh. I hope we wind up as an official faction!
I know this is hardly the place for this, but since you're using your faction creation thread to gloat I have a few words about yesterday's fight. I fail to see how that was "a good time". When you say you drove us off of New Berlin, you forgot to mention you had Varyag (cruiser) backing you up, against two of our Wraths. You also forgot to mention, that what started as an even fight (2 vs. 2), progressed to amass some four or five ships to your side.
Saying you lost your ships because you were typing makes it sound like we killed you while you RPed, but both ships destroyed were activelly fighting at the time they've blown away. If you couldn't handle typing and fighting at the same time, then suck it up. Even though we were outnumbered and outgunned, I declined help from an independent repair ship, because I sincerely don't agree with that. Two RepEx Black Talon came to assist, I thought I would have a chance against Varyag, but the bomber didn't have neither a SN, nor ammo to his torpedo launcher.
We went to Frankfurt earlier to engage you guys and respected that you were in the middle of fixing the reputation for one of your pilots, then I ordered all of my ships back to New Berlin. All my group but one left and I had to land. When I finally take off I see my one wingmen being mauled by you guys, including the one we had left alone because he was fixing his reputation. I have to say this, but even though we are supposed to be in RP enemies, I think a little OORP neighborhood courtesy is at hand. Even though you were online at the time, we all thought it was okay to ignore you since you were still engaged in setting up. As a matter of fact, I've been informed by one of my pilots that one(some) of you, actually asked for a week's grace period before we actively engaged in hostilities. So much for that, I think.
Then, being outnumbered as I was (after the RepEx were destroyed and the other RM had to leave the battle), I find I'm being attacked by a "white" [BU]. I scan the guy and he is flying a civilian IDed Sabre? Also, at the time he was less than 500 m from myself, so even though I was busy enough evading to check if he was actually firing at me or not, I'd say he was engaging me simply from being so close. I have to go out of my way to type and tell him to leave and he still asks me why...
Then, when I finally decided there's nothing I can do about that fight and left to Dresden, I contact the other RM (who was in Frankfurt by then), and instruct him to circle around through Hamburg, so he would avoid you guys returning to Frankfurt. When I finally make it back to the capital and contact him again, he tells me he is being followed. I check the player list and see your full force in Hamburg. Varyag, Nyx, the RHA and two or three of your ships, all onto one single RM that had already been defeated? Yes, I'm pretty sure you consider us aces to throw that kind of force against one single Wrath. I had to fly all the way to Hamburg to prevent that nonsense from taking place and prevent my pilot from being lynched, again.
Wonder why I didn't reply when someone PMed me "gf"? Because I wasn't at all impressed. To be blunt, I was disheartened that what could have been an even fight (the original 2 vs. 2) quickly turned out to be "spank the RM day". Even though we lost it, and lost it big, I'm more than satisfied we didn't give any of you the screenshot. At this point I'm just wondering if our newly formed ignore list will soon include a newly formed faction.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong. Apart from the Civilian IDed Sabre that entered the combat area, you were pretty much in RP and inside the rules. (applause)
Well, I'm not too impressed, while reading Gronath's post.
You guys might want to ditch the independent capital ship support, at least if you'r fighting against RM (since they use fighters/bombers mostly).

I know how you feel.. People want fame, more then a fair fight or good RP, I guess.
Anyway, nothing is lost.
I'd give you a tip, if I may.
Don't look for RM to pick up a fight, try searching for civilian targets (traders), and wait for them to come.
Also, try to keep fights factionized - meaning no indies unless you'r outnumbered.
Especially no indie capital ships.
I haven't met you in game yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Great... I PMed Gronath if he needs help .... when I saw some 4 BU in Frankfurt...
he said no and that you are setting up your ships...and there were some 4 RM online..(3 of them new guys)
so I went to do something else...(fighting 4 BS... some of them re-engaging.. and all the usual stuff that happens in Liberty)
Then when I was in the thick of it.. I got PM from Gronath that now he can use some help...that certainly did feel like back-stabbing.

I'm warming the engines and fixing aim on my Wrath again...
