My base was destroyed when I wasn't around, I have no idea who destroyed it or with what. Could be a fair game or could be a bug, but since Brimstone was restored for no apparent reason, I want my base to be restored too.
We should really take this to the discussion board, not the support board. If your base was destroyed and you don't think it should have been, you should start a new topic.
1) In what universe is "Indie/IMG/Solar" a lawful Gallic corp? Especially when the base was NOT yet declared legit by the Kingdom of Gallia, thus rendering it inRP-illicit by default (all base projects should get approval BEFORE construction starts).
Also, I don't think it has been really confirmed that the attacker was GRN.
2) The actual point still not resolved/answered is the question why the base was restored a second time, despit it being destroyed by legit means. Either you fairly restore all "mysteriously destroyed" bases or none, as long as no exploitive means were involved (as confirmed during the first destruction of Brimstone).
Using different measures for different bases/people is simply unfair, as several people pointed out already. And while the base shield/repair system might need some refinement, the system employed at the time of the attack allowed for a good safeguarding of a base with the same means as always: having enough repairs&fuel stocked. This was not the case, thus leading to destruction.

Silly me, I thought Solar was a lawful Gallic corp.
*sigh*. Brimstone was fully fueled and stocked, which some people don't seem to think. Shields were active the entire time. Regardless, the base system is still in beta testing, nothing is set in stone yet.
No. It wasn't. You were out of repair materials, or at least there wasn't any crew on it. The shield goes down every 1-16 minutes, and then the first shot counts again.
The thing is, that a well supplied base can survive for prolonged time, no need for a shield. A base with 10k of one kind of repairs and ~20k of h-fuel can survive for damn long time. A whole day of assault even.
EDIT: btw, defending a base is still a lot easier than attacking one.
With your suggestion, bases will be impossible to destroy once they have shields, 5k of H-fuel can keep the shield running for ~5 hours, do six runs with 1 transport, daily each time with 4k of H-fuel and 1k of BA and your base is impossible to be destroyed. That quite ruin the group effort, and the fact bases should be rare
EDIT 2: Not to mention the fact you can use MOX and then the base will consume only 2/3 of the fuel. 5k of MOX is about 7 hours of shield.
Good. They should be darn near impossible to destroy given how much effort is required to build them. Why should bases be rare? So you can play with the new toys and everyone else can't?
