Today, I started off my patrol performing scans on traders passing through, looking for anything unusual. I met up with Mr.Goodman and his pal at Southampton Shipyard. They were relaxing and enjoying the peacefulness of Bretonia at this time. There were no disturbances to be found.
I did a run around Bretonia, checking the lanes and whatnot. Eventually, I picked up a CSV on my radar with Gallic tech. When asked where he got such weapons, he explained that he had bought the ship from a "Strange trader" and hadn't noticed that the weapons were equipped. I escorted him to Manchester, in Magellan, and helped him get outfitted with some civilian load-out.
I made my way to Leeds, still performing scans on passer-byes, and docked on Planet Leeds to grab a beer. When I undocked, I saw a hostile ship on my radar by the name of Norman.Bates. With my arrival, he quickly made his way to a lane and ran towards the Edinburgh jump gate. Of course, I pursued him. He exited the lane and disrupted my travel, so I got to get in a scan. The Freelancer was carrying cardamine in his Eagle very heavy fighter. I asked him where he was going, he replied with "There's a bounty on your head" and opened fire. Within seconds his ship was gone, and his Escape Pod was tractored in.
During the heat of the combat, I failed to get gunshots of the ID and cardamine that Norman.Bates had with him, but I managed one in for the destruction of his Eagle.
After the freelancer incident, I met up with Sergeant McAllister. We setup in Leeds on the lane to the Taus, looking for blockade runners. Only one trader showed up, but we found him to work for Bowex. McAllister then docked to take a smoke, so I accompanied her.
I started off today's patrol in the New London system. I spotted a Corsair, belonging to the Benitez family, on radar. After several laps around the system, I gave up on finding him. I continued to Leeds where I spotted a Colonial battleship called Virtus. When I got close enough for a scan, I noticed he was carrying nomad biomatter. He was not showing up on the list of N-BEW License owners so I levied a fine of 2.500.000C for the total(10) units of biomatter. He immediately got defensive, asking to speak to someone else. I gave him what he wanted, I called in the HMS-Charger and HMS-Conair. Still, it took him several minutes to cooperate and pay his fine. His fine was payed and the nomads were dropped, he then cruised out of range.
Later on I spotted him again at Planet Leeds, loitering around in house space with a battleship. I called Commander Roger Anders, of the CR, to come talk to Virtus. At the arrival of Mr.Anders, Virtus showed disrespect and no loyalty to the Colonials, angering the Commander. After a talk with Virtus we found more details of his background. He was not given permission to fly the battleship (leading me to suspicion as to how he got it) and flew under his own flag. Mr.Anders and I came to the decision for him to leave Bretonia, only to return with the permission from the Armed Forces, Her Majesty, or of the CR. Virtus cooperated then, and flew off as he said...

Virtus: Watch your back, Anthony.
Me: Excuse me?
Virtus: Nothing, just keep smiling.
With the way he acted today, I'm pretty sure he won't be back for several weeks. I will be writing a short note beside his name so I can remember his acts of foolishness and act accordingly. Overall, I thought it was quite humorous.
Now, for another matter. Sense I've joined I've been particularly anticipating my first promotion. I've escorted traders, arrested gunboat pilots, defended myself from an assassin, and dealt with unlicensed goods smugglers. It's time I stop going by Junior, don't you think? This is Anthony DaPilla, reporting the incidents today on my patrol.
As soon as I undocked from Durham Border Station, I was amazed at the number of Bretonian Armed Forces and Liberty Navy primary fleet ships, so I took the tradelane to P.Leeds to see what was going on. Sitting near Leeds was Virtus, the Colonial battleship from my last report. He greeted me politely, as if nothing was wrong, so I almost didn't ask if he had permission to bring his ship back. He replied with a yes. Something told me that I should check with the BAF, so I did. Virtus had lied, he had been patrolling around Bretonia, without permission, when the fighting broke out and he joined in. The Bretonian Armed Forces were sitting within range the entire time, I believe he has lost their trust aswell as ours and Commander Roger Anders. He was fined and escorted to the Magellan jump hole.
He threw out another threat right before he jumped.
After that was handled, I met up with some BAF and LN sitting at Southampton. They were talking about the previous fight and what bar to go to to celebrate. I sat there for several minutes. Then, I spotted a ALG trader who seemed to be avoiding the Southampton. I asked him to please hold (I was suspicious). He was carrying no contraband, no illegal papers or anything, so I asked him what he was afraid of. I had stopped him near the lane to Kensington. The [LN]-LNS-Normandie (For some reason he was flying a Gallic battleship, I didn't question it.) knew the Rheinlander was near the lane and used the lane anyway just to do damage to his shield. I have no proof of his intentions, so I let him go and helped the trader get back on his way. If I see anything like that again, I'll know it wasn't a coincidence and will charge him with assault.
This is Junior Constable Anthony DaPilla reporting my incident today with a rather in-cooperative trader.
I started off my patrol at Kensington, circling around Bretonia's main systems. Our space was empty of traders except for two. One of whom, was in Manchester and (Using a long range scan) was found to be carrying Military Vehicles. I jumped to Manchester and met him, waiting at the other side.
He was suprised to hear that Military Vehicles required a MML in order to be hauled. Of course, he didn't believe me, so I directed him to the Bretonian Restricted Goods Licensing. He was in awe, and replied with "Haha, your a joke". At this moment, I knew he was not willing to pay the fine, but I pursued anyway. The total fine was 9.000.000C (I rounded down). When told of the fine for his crime, he insulted me along with the BPA in general, saying comments such as "Your one of those greedy, money-seeking cops, aren't you?". I remained calm and informed him that I was just doing my job, and that it was not my/the BPA's fault for him failing to read our laws and licenses. No answer was given, because he jumped to New London. I followed him to the other side, where I disrupted the lane and kept asking him to pay his fine. He was lucky that I gave him so many chances, some people would've engaged as soon as he attempted to escape. He jumped again, but I kept my composure and gently stopped him. That was the last time I was going to let him try that, so I told him that if he jumped again I WOULD engage and arrest him. Suppose he still saw me as a "joke" and jumped again, so I kept my promise.
Hauling military vehicles without a MML (Quantity of about 600) - 9.000.000C
Resisting arrest - 2.000.000C
Assault (He refused to go down without a fight) - 4.000.000C
Total Fine: 15.000.000C
Yeah.. he won't be back untill that's payed off. After his destruction, a kind trader who was in the area answered my call and helped transport the Military Vehicles to Kensington, where they were stored. I allowed him to keep the profit as a reward for his community service. I will cross Gunslinger off the wanted list when the fine is paid.
I have already received word of your heroics, it appears the Duke and his son were quite grateful for the latter's rescue.
Unfortunately I will have to deny your request to return to the rank of Chief Inspector. Due to your decades of loyalty and courage in Her Majesty's and her people's service, I have been asked to promote you to Deputy Commissioner and leadership of the Commerce Control Division.
Anthony "Ant" DaPilla.
You are hereby promoted to the rank of Constable. Congratulations.
I was taking a break on the Durham Border Station in Leeds when I got called to duty by Chief Commissioner, Marcus Wright. A molly gunboat by the name of [M]Arcadia had been spotted nearby LD-14. After recieving this information, I hopped in my challenger and headed up to see if I could find this molly, which I did. He was sitting a bit up and to the south of LD-14, waiting for a friend I suppose.
At the sight of an officer, he seemed to get nervous, flying around as if to dodge before I had even engaged. I sent his location to Wright and Flintstone, which came to my aid in arresting the Arcadia. Pebbles was also in a Challenger, the gunboat didn't stand a chance against us taking turns SNACing it. It took a few bots but we all came out in one piece. The last hit went to Wright, piloting the Grand.Horizon.
I believe the Grand.Horizon had his pod, so I made my way to LD-14. Ensign Basil of the Bretonian Armed Forces was going after a CSV runner full of slaves. I chased down the CSV and eventually caught it with the help of one of Basil's disruptors. I asked the pilot to drop the slaves but he tried to trick me by dropping 1, and then charging his cruise. He was disrupted and destroyed. While I was tractoring in some of the slaves, I witnessed the Ensign slaughter the remainder that I couldn't fit in my hold.
At Planet Leeds, Austin Goodman was waiting for us, and I reported the incident with the slaves. Austin was awfully harsh, but I don't think Ensign Basil will be commiting such foolish acts again. The argument that followed lasted for a half hour.
While listening to the argument and providing as much detail to the incident I could, a zoner destroyer came into range. Lately, I've had a hard time collecting fines, traders and warships alike can be very arrogant. He wanted to speak to a superior, he didn't believe we had a law against foreign warships. Thankfully, Chief Wright was nearby, and confirmed my statement. Wright left while I continued to argue with the zoner, supposedly us BPA are "Greedy and Corrupted". Inspector Renei showed up to my aid. After another minute of talking, we saw that the conversation was going nowhere, and arrested the zoner when he tried to run. He got too close to Planet Leeds, but I recovered his pod from the Planet's surface.
Another duty call, this time at the gate to Tau 31. Two Rheinland warships were seen earlier that day, flying around discreetly, maybe scouting, I don't know. We found them after they jumped to Leeds from T31, they were trapped. I tried interogating them to find out what this was all about, they didn't want to open their bloody mouths, so I sent them back into the Taus. If they don't want to tell us what their doing, fine, then we'll feed them to the bloody gauls.
First off, after a few runs around Bretonia, I found a Samura transport named Menthol.Cigar. He was cooperative and did as he was asked. A 2.000.000C fine was taken and he dropped his cargo as asked. I then escorted him into Leeds and out through Edinburgh (his choice, not mine).
Inspector Renei, who went to check on a miner in Dublin, spotted Bebe.|Sails. I immediately hopped in my hussar and raced to Dublin. Along with Bebe.|Sails, two other Black Sails came to join the brawl. One of the sails, who had been badly injured, committed suicide and was burned alive by the sun.
After the death of their gunboat ally, the Sails scurried off. We found them again in New London. Ins Renei and I chased Bebe.|Sails for at least 20 minutes untill we eventually turned back with no arrest to show for our work. Renei took the lane from Southampton to the Leeds jumpgate where I was re-engaged by Bebe.|Sails. I fought him solo for another 10 minutes untill he ran and jumped into Leeds. In Leeds, [CC]Quixote and [Gaia]:.Noah.Pearce, corsair and gaian, joined the skirmish. With the help of the Inspector and a few BAF, I successfully landed antimatter on all three of the criminals.
In Cambridge, I accompanied Inspector Renei as she found a smuggler from before in her patrol, Dhartman. He was charged with 14.000.000C for his two accounts of smuggling military vehicles without a license, another 2.000.000C for refusing to pay his fine, and a final 4.000.000C for assaulting a officer. We waited for a while, a good while, but he still refused to pay his fines. He was arrested and will have a little while in prison to think about his deeds.
Vance Godfrey reporting in. Today was a busy day for Bretonia. Though many events took place today I would like to look at one of the rather brighter ones first. Chief Inspector Wright and I were on patrol when we spotted a Gateway convoy. Due to corsair presence in Cambridge we offered our assistance in the form of escort. We started in New London and began to make our way to Aland shipyard. We encountered the corsairs in Cambridge but they cloaked and did not pose any threat and we made it to Aland without a hitch. After Aland we escorted them to the Bretonian border with their goods and they went on their way.
Later in the day The Inspector and I came across a Tau blockade runner. Luckily I was able to stop him and He was somewhat stubborn and shot fused, But not stupid. The fine was paid and the goods made it to harris.
There hasn't been much action today, overall. Most of my time was spent investigating every possible hostile I picked up on TLAGSNET, only to find harmless traders and freelancers. However, one of my investigations was a success. I found a outcast gunboat in Newcastle, waiting by the lane to Carlisle. At sight of me, he ran towards Leeds only to be intercepted by Lieutenant Luke Walker. Questions and answers were dismissed, but when Corse.Volta tried to run, he was arrested quickly and without harm to neither I or the Lieutenant.
Later on, today, a Junker informed me of a pirate Roc civilian bomber in the area named Zyrael. I followed Zyrael from New London to Leeds using the trail of bread crumbs left by TLAGSNET. During my ride in the lane from Durham to Planet Leeds, he popped up on my radar. I exit the lane and turn to see him assaulting a trader. He didn't listen to my demand to stop, so I engaged. He was eventually put out by his own Nova, while at the same time destroying the trader's ship. The trader, being in a much larger ship, survived the blast without injury. We'll have to wait and see what he looks like after we crack open that pod.
