Hogosha attack Silver Convoy: Bounty Requested
Today a Silver ore convoy was assaulted by Hogosha vessels in an ambush near New Tokyo. They demanded 30 million or 3000 ore (from a 5000 ton transport), and 600 of a half full transport of an independent IMG. Nothing the EDGE could do about it as they were very well informed about that we were coming. I suspect some sensors that told them our route or local spies.
Ships that stopped us and were actively participating in the crimes:
Quote:Dake: For crimes against the hogosha family, I levy a fine against you. For insults against Kusari, I increase the fine.
IMG|Emerald: So... *nods too, calm voice* Define the crimes, please.
Dake: The fine is 30,000,000 credits, or 3,000 units of ore.
We dropped the ore, as described above. They looked for reasons to take the rest by shooting us, too, and showed no signs of not being just as the rest of scum that needs to be killed.
So I request a bounty on them to be put up. Before we throw the money to them, better let's use it to make their life harder.
It was requested that we bounty them by EDGE, who escorted us at the time. Having some bounty makes it much easier for them to strike out preemptively.

Effective immediately, the Zoner Barge "The Almighty One" is under IMG contract in Omega 7 for mobile ore storage and refinery purposes. It is intended to be used as a local drop off point for miners and as a storage ship at which convoys can fill up.
The Barge location is classified and will be given to IMG personel when the need arises to avoid piracy attempts.

1. Zoner Barge Contracted in Omega 7
The Trade Department made a deal with a Zoner Barge Company that offered their storage services. The details can be found: << here >>
The Department of Trade hopes that the Barge will be put to good use and wants to thank all the Defense pilots that assisted in the transfer of the gigantic vessel.
2. Attack against an IMG Convoy: Mandalorians Defeated
The Mandalorians decided to attack an IMG convoy in Omega 7 shortly before its departure towards the Taus. They wanted to collect a bounty on the Colonial Gunboat that was spearheading the convoy. The IMG as well as an EDGE escort fiercely engaged the attackers and was able to destroy their 4 attacking ships.
3. Successes in the Tau Defense
After the failed raid against the Outcast, IMG Defense forces claimed some successes in the defense of Tau 23. The guncam shots say more than hundred words.

Jack,
Can you confirm wether this barge has registered itself with the RFP? The last thing we need is to give Rheinland a reason to confiscate a months worth of Omega 7 production over a technicality. I bet there's at least some folk within the Bundestag that don't look too favorably on us - let's not give them the ability to target us like this. I initially inquired for the Panthalassa, and was told the registration fee is a mere 250.000, one time cost, as long as part of the stored goods eventually end up in Rheinland. Minor for the boon the storage facility can bring.

Today im sending my report about my first patrol. I was located in Tau 37 in close proximity to Falkand Base with no signs of activity. Later on I went to Freeport 10 where I dicovered a Corsair pilot carrying some of our employees. His callsign was "[IYI]". I peacefully asked him to drop the pilots , but as soon as I said that he opened fire. I destroyed his ship with ease and The IMG employees were brought back to Falkand.

<span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%]Topic: Bretonian Privateers Attacks against IMG
This is the second report about aggressive behaviour of a new group of the Bretonian Privateers (labelled on transponders 13th|-HMS) against the IMG.
1. Incident: Hegemon miner was "fined" for mining in Dublin
2. Incident: Hegemon miner was destroyed in Omega 7
3. Incident: Talk to their leader in which he made clear he is just scum as all other pirates
I contacted the ship's commander who turned out to be the leader of a new, seemingly very aggressive new sort of Bretonian Privateer, callsign: 13th|-HMS.Jackal.
Quote:13th|-HMS.Jackal: I destroyed a IMG Hegmon
[...]
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: So you destroyed an IMG Hegemon, because Bretonia is "at war"?
13th|-HMS.Jackal: I Pirated one of your mining ships that failed to pay HM Tax
[...]
13th|-HMS.Jackal: if your ships will not pay the ransom to HM Queen Carina then thy shall feel the Cannon WRATH
[...]
13th|-HMS.Jackal: you IMG are like parasites you come to Dublin drain HM minerals, then move on to places like Omega 7 and mine there
[...]
13th|-HMS.Jackal: You can pay a weekly fee to HM Privateer corps which will ensure protection and safe passage for all IMG| tagged ships while in Bretonia
[...] I asked for details
13th|-HMS.Jackal: Ok a weekly payment of say 70 mill would guarantee your ships safe passage and uninterrupted mining rights in bretonia
[...]
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: Hm... who are you representing, Sir?
13th|-HMS.Jackal: the 13th| Bretonia Royal Privateer Corps. I am first in command within the 13th|
[...]
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: So you are telling me, that they are not doing their job, so you have to do it. So you go out and shoot and tax the people - like IMG in Bretonia - who pay taxes to the Bretonian Government and who are to be treated as Bretonian civilians by the law.
13th|-HMS.Jackal: There is plunder to be made and plenty a full trader to exploit
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: So you do not regard IMG in Bretonia as off limits to your... missions?
13th|-HMS.Jackal: Bretonia does not have settlements in Orkney which is beyond Bretonias realm yet the IMG have a base there
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: I always understood that the Privateers do not operate inside Bretonia against their own civilian populaton
13th|-HMS.Jackal: you are not bretonians
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: The law states that our Bretonian holdings and their employees have to be treated as Bretonian civilians. Like it or not.
13th|-HMS.Jackal: Yes that means i will not TAX Planetform, Gateway, Bowex, BMM, no no you are not brets
13th|-HMS.Jackal: simple pay or perish
[...]
13th|-HMS.Jackal: we are here to protect bret civi interests thats menas stopping foreigners from hauling our Ores out of bretonia unless we can take a little cut
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: Even if it goes to your allies in the war? Dublin, Gold to Liberty?
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: You tax us for supporting the House that keeps you from losing your war in Omegas?
13th|-HMS.Jackal: we are not at war in omegas?
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: You are? Bretonia against Rheinland?
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: Where have you been for the last 2 weeks?
13th|-HMS.Jackal: well then even more reason to pirate IMg
[...]
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: And your not knowing about the war - sorry - made it impossible for me to take you seriously.
[...]
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: *nods* How much is your individual fee?
13th|-HMS.Jackal: depends how much a ship is hauling, usually for a 5k trans maybe 10mill or more if they are full
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: *nods* How much for a completely full ore transport?
13th|-HMS.Jackal: I have an AI unit that tells me when certain miners are likely to be full of ore so making raids more bountiful
Guildmaster S. Degenhardt: What is the maximum payment?
13th|-HMS.Jackal: if they are annoying and difficult and not easily taxed then 15mill, if they are nice going and easy to deal with I may ask a 5k full of ore for just 5mill. Prices are variable
These are snippets from the audio records.
Read them and draw your own conclusions.
Defend IMG interests when engaged. Wherever that is. With whatever it takes. The 13th|-HMS.Jackal is a Bretonian gunboat, it is scrapped rather easily. I won't cry much if you tell me you did so.

Subject: 13th Bretonian privateers declared rogue by Admiralty
To all Guild members.
The Bretonian Armed Forces admiralty has declared the privateers known as the 13th fleet rogue, and operating without authority by the queen. In short, these vessels are NOT armed forces vessels, and may be engaged at will. Treat them as you would treat any pirate - they appear to be no better.
To drive the point home, use excessive force where possible. Future "rogue" military groups targeting the Guild should be dissuaded.
Amendment: Rescind the attack order.
It appears the admiralty has dealt with these forces - they should no longer target IMG operations within Bretonian space. Contact Guild HQ immediately if hostilities persist - all we have is words after all, and action tends to speak louder. Retaliate only if engaged.

An interesting report, especially for those who take an interest in the Dublin ops.
We received a long range transmission relayed from the Omegas, that a high ranking officer of the Coalition forces was seeking to meet with us near Gran Canaria. Since the matter sounded somewhat urgent, we ourselves responded to this, after securing a few escorts from both Guild patrol ships (Ben Grylls, Jessica Ferres, and the Starwalker), and Colonial fightercraft (Skalsky, Ryker and Lamb). After some initial troubles and confusion on where to meet, we finally met up in Gran Canaria's shadow. The Mollies were there as well. The following (slightly filtered) transcript was recorded: Transmission Log
A Coalition intervention on our behalf with the Mollies is strange, but could see a quick rekindle of the Dublin operations. They must truly require gold and in large quantities, if they are so eager for these shipments. Perhaps they fear the Gallic threat as much as our Zoner neighbours do.
I suggest we try to work out a final agreement with the Mollies over the coming days, the sooner the better. Granted, we'll likely not have the Arranmore field accessible to us, but the remaining fields should make up for that loss. There have been scattered reports of Armed Forces levying a tax or denying us access to the eastern fields, but so far no full records have popped up of this.

Good news! We've managed to reconcile things with the Mollies. Not only that, but we've received word from them that they'd like us to supply them with various goods. Naturally, it would be in our best interest to keep any such shipments WELL outside of the Armed Forces sensors. We did have to make several concessions, with regards to where we mine. For the present mining operations in the Arranmore field are strictly prohibited unless you're invited by the [M] branded Mollies themselves.
Mining operations in the Northeast (G2) and East (H4) field are fully possible again. Try to be courteous to the Mollies. Slipping them a few credits would not hurt either. Any traders entering the Dublin system should be aware that Arranmore is open to us, and is used as a central receiving point for supplies such as Food rations, Oxygen, Water, H-Fuel and Mining Tools. A full list shall be supplied once the Mollies themselves inventorise their exact needs.
All in all, we're returning to the status quo that existed prior to our close cooperation with the MMC. Be aware that the Mollies will only trust our IMG| branded vessels to approach Arranmore and mine within Dublin. Other vessels are not covered under the accord. Be also aware that while the new Molly governance has a significant following, not -all- Mollies will be among them. Dublin isn't our safest operation in the best of time. Watch your backs out there.
I will be making the details of the accord available to anyone who wishes them... no sense in cluttering the guildcomms needlessly with such. Once Jack Henderson returns from his R&R, he shall take command of this division again.
Regards,
- Johnathan Sanders

Good news today. 4 Convoys made it unharmed.
A Dublin-NY convoy was stopped by an Outcast bomber 10 k from Detroit. In a daring charge we made it to unscathed to the emergency dock. Then we undocked and 3 transports, 1 Hegemon and 1 Falcon Light Fighter destroyed the bomber. Our new miner, who joined just today, fought bravely on his Hegemon and scored the final blow by daringly moving into the path of the burning bomber, ramming him while firing his lasers.
Tau-23 and O-7 convoys managed to evade a Hogosha trap and several other dangers while doing Niobium and Silver runs. Escorts of IMG and EDGE managed to defuse a dangerous encounter in which Hogosha fielded a bomber and a transport vessel. No IMG was harmed.
Good news today. I am going to rest. Good night.
Jack
