You're all to lazy to use you MASSIVE ZoI.
You're all to lazy to smuggle.
Youre all to lazy to fly snubs.
Work out your own issues.
We love you too.
A massive ZoI but a set of 'allies' that doesn't want us to play on their ground. And apart from that a massive ZoI has quite some downsides since you often arrive to late at the place where the interesting stuff happened.
Smuggling is not appealing if you have an OC ID. Using the tradelanes would be dumb since you are pretty much going to get shot up by the first lawful you encounter. They don't even need to scan you. And using the holes to get the stuff delivered has about the same profit over time as trading oxygen in a Rhino. It's just not attractive to do it.
As for the snubs: I'd say it would be more of an issue to figure out what to fly now. The Sabre is 'rebalanced' against the Titan, which makes it pretty useless in certain other parts of the ZoI

Leave some ships on barrier gate or the Zoner and Junker bases around Liberty/Kusari/Bretonia/Taus do you can quickly access what happens in those areas
Your allies don't want you around? Then try to change their minds. Try to RP.
Form convoys smuggle through the lanes and try to get past the lawfuls. Can't say "OH WE R SOOOO BORED AND Dying" when you don't do something cause you might get shot at.
Lane Hackers, Mercs, and other unlawfuls seem to be doing fine with Sabres in parts of your ZoI.
Truth is, a lot of this might just boil down to the fact that we don't have a "military faction"/leadership to kick some sense into indies etc. When looking at the Sairs and their established factions, they are doing a lot of hard work to discipline indies, but also to include these in ongoing skirmishes etc.
If we had a faction that worked on more military-like matters, we might fix a bit of the bad rep we have (I have met Ranseurs in Liberty on more than one occation when on non-OC characters - the Corsairs have pretty much put a stop to their straying Legates), and we might be able to form more of a solid military alliance with the Brets against the GRN. I do understand than noone is really willing to form any form of political agreements with the Outcasts, seeing that the OC players are so dispersed and a lot of them don't have a clue (like pirating junker ships in T23 full of slaves bound for Malta - tried that too).
Also player constructed bases (in the Sigmas, for instance) would open up to a new world of fun, so perhaps this will solve itself in time.
Is there any leadership for the OC? I think that's a problem. A spirited leader, an activity manager who gives people a reason to log (Hey, we raid X in 15 mins, log!) should be all it takes.
Come to Tau 23 and it will be the old pewpew-system it has always been, just CR will have been replaced by a few GRN. IMG will still be happy to fight battles in Tau 23 and your nerfed Sabre is able to handle our VHF.
Somehow sad to see the Taus fall silent. They should be THE conflict region in the version.
But since most Sirian factions cannot enter Alpha, you need to leave it. And that's what is not happening at the moment.
I totally agree. I make my money hauling slaves/cardi and since 4.86 came out those Lost Star vigilantes (now freelancers) have been dominating T23 totally. A handful of freelancers keeping the OC empire at bay, because a lot of OC players are only intersted in doing their own thing / don't talk/respond...
With fear of sounding as a hypocrite (because really I ought to try and do something about it myself instead of whining), if our leadership was more active / took more of an interest in these "lowbrow" matters, a coordinated effort could be carried out to leave the vital trade routes open.
All I can do seeing this thread is quietly thinking 'lol'.
All you need to do is move to T23 and wait, or man up, fly a snub or Gunboat and head for Leeds - There is a lot of battling going on there recently.
Also, you can always raid Gamma. Always.
You can't get your bottoms up to do it ? Then don't complain. All you need to do is PM the caps near Malta ingame, tell them to group up and then move to Gamma.
You don't fly snubs, thinking you can't master them ? With that attitude you won't, for sure.
Yes-I remember the times, when in day was 2-3 raids to Gamma and with big fleet, becouse now the way to Gamma from Alpha is huge(for Caps)thats why now is maybe 2-3 raids in week.Maybe that systems what we have to fly isn't that too much, but there are too much asterioids.
No-Ofcourse some outcasts is that lazy to jump in the snubs or maybe gunships, but where we will put cap ships?
I think there is need for changes,like-Jumpholes to (Alpha>Eta>Theta>Gamma)
Looking from Corsairs-They will raid to Alpha? No,why?Becouse all time they will raid to Alpha they have to cross Outcast Guard space or crosing Beta with all asterioids and cap ship it will take 20min.
It's all part of Igiss's plan to remove Outcast and replace them with Gallia.
Gallia shall not welcome Outcasts.
NOX shall take over Cardi.
DO YOU SEE IT NOW?

On a serious note, the Outcasts I feel are indeed dying. It is due to strained relations with many allies. For example, the Rouges got fed up with seeing Outcasts pirate in their sector. What I believe is that the Outcasts should step up their role play game and engage in more diplomatic roleplays. ESPECIALLY WITH GALLIA. Just go and attempt reaching out the Gallics, perhaps you can find a point of agreement.
