Right then! I pondered long and hard over this....
I dropped by Freeport 10 the other day expecting all the full and friendly service we Zoners are renowned for. However, what I found was a rundown operation, looking like the previous owners had bled every penny and fled. Landing Bay Techs weren’t interested in providing ship service, elevators were out of order and bar staff and drinks selection were sparse to nonexistent.
A feeling of neglect and decay pervaded. Now this ain’t a laughing matter to a lifelong Zoner trader. I need the place to be geared up, look smart and welcome customers. Know what I mean? How else can I turn a credit or two?
So, I went along to the base Manager’s office to find out what was going on, but found it ransacked, with a distinct impression of a hasty exit.... I can tell ya, I was shocked by the state of it. No wonder there’s rumours about local heavies casting covetous glances at the place. I’m surprised no one’s tried a move already!
Well, as you know folks, I’ve always been a bit shy about the talents tucked under me hat, but now it’s time to reveal all.... This Station needs a revamp and I could be yer Man! All these years in the space trade have tuned this shapely nose of mine into a finely honed deal sniffer. It’s natural instinct and you can’t buy it. Try me.
Anyway, I figure possession is nine tenths of the profit, so if you have a counter claim to this office, you’d best say so now, because I’ve already arranged for a full structural survey to establish a repair programme following the recent damage; the other thing is to get one of them environmental gurus in to look at the central heating in them bio domes and make the Station self sufficient again.
In short, I’d like to take over the administration and turn the place around...given yer grace. And in that respect, I’ve got me Lawyers, Messrs. Sue, Grabbit and Runne drawing up the papers for Management Services as we speak. I hope there’s no objection to that, in principle?
Just drop me the nod and let me know what kind of trade you’re interested in, we’ll need to get the merchandise flow going again. I don’t care, it can be up front, on the base, or quietly round the back, depending how sensitive you and it might be...anything to thicken the wallet, know what I mean? ....a little bit for you, a little bit for me and a splash of paint fer the base...We’re all happy, right?
Best Regards,
Lucky LeRoux
PS... By all means....Anyone with an interest in the FP10 ... Go ahead and ask me questions about me bona fides and anything else. I’ll do what I can to reassure you I’m up fer the job.

Howdy Y'all!
Many times we have passed by Freeport 10.
And I can tell you one thing!
It went from a nice place , to a stinky rat infested excuse for a freeport!
Now i must say your uncle Pete thought y'all zoners had higher living standards!
Its good to hear you're patching the place up !
Finally a person who takes initiative , your uncle is impressed!
Thats why me and my boys would gladly help ya out with these repairs!
Heck , Ill even throw in a discount or two!
It just happened to be that my boys stumbeled upon a huge piece of copper and scrap metal.
It used to be a station or something.
*pete takes a pause and coughs*
Anyway , we got enough materials within our reach to help you out with repairs
So what about that Rolex?
...A voice sounding like it's coming from the inside of a rusty bucket..."Is it on?"... "Ah.. Right".. "At last"
"Heh! Uncle Pete! Thanks for the message mate. We got the place deloused at last, "Trousers" Trev was the man fer the job. Seemed to know what he was doing, but had a permanent wince and once or twice I noticed some strange movements amongst his clothing, but I didn't want to interfere with his concentration....
Anyhow... Yep! I'll take any help I can bud...and it will be noted. That scrap and copper will all be needed, if you could bring it as is...we'll forage any spares and sell on the scrap fer recycling."
By the way...I've left one of the Rolex watches behind the Bar for you.... Gratis and free of charge like (batteries included for top clients). It's a Sirius Second Hand Softsweep Mk V......Pretty rare in legitimate Rolex dealers stores, I can tell you! If I ain't there, talk to the new bar manager, "Tippler" Pete, mention my name, he know's you're coming and can lay his hands on the goods."

Kallisti, Mr. LeRoux,
I don't personally venture to Freeport 10 very often but I do keep a couple of medical staffers there for the needs of the base. On occasion, Med.Force.Two will also be found there. I don't know about the rest of the base but I do know for fact that the medical facilities there are second to none. If I drop in one of these times, I'll have to buy you a drink.
FP10 already have one administrator, so the first person that you should talk is that person, Mr Steve Vontaan i believe. Last time i was there FP10 really need suplies, i freely suplie it with no cost, and never again had news, so i don't know the status of FP10.
But if you become the FP10 administrator please, look to the example of FP1 on Omega 3 and DON'T do the same terrible mistakes that were made there.

Doc,
Good ta hear from you...You're right, the medical facilities here are in pretty good shape, about the only thing that is and your staffers clearly know what they're doing....They've had enough practice of late....
And thanks for that, things are tight here while we get the major repairs done, so your help is more'n welcome. I know you're busy wi' the TAZ an' all , but tote Med.Force.Two up here any ol' time. We can discuss the price of scalpels and laxatives over a long cold one... There's this wholesaler I know....

Thanks for the heads up Mr Viriato, when I arrived at the base there was no sign of Mr Vontaan and the status of FP10 seemed to be "abandoned", but if he turns up I'm sure we can discuss the matter and resolve any issues in an amicable way.
Oh, and as regards FP1....I saw the news about that, it's what can happen when a zealot tries to grab power. Nuff said, you won't see that kind of behaviour here...No room for it and it's damaging to the trade needed to build up for this Station to be successful and a contributing part of the Zoner network once again.
Next time you're through, grab that bottle of Jack Daniels with yer name on it from Tippler Pete behind the bar...a small thanks fer the info.
Say hello to the folks at Gran Canaria and Come Back Soon,
Sorry I've been on holiday for the past few weeks. The repersentatives of of the Zoner community are correct. Thank you Mr LeRoux for you private transmission. I have laid a few things there you may find interesting.
I also note that I find calling Freeport 10 a run down freeport, no naming here. I find that very poor. May I ask why you think so? When we have the best living conditions, and run a small but very nice motel.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Senor LeRoux. As you may know the Outcasts and our associates do a lot of business on Freeport 10; its a good stopover to and from Alpha. In the past some Zoners have jeopardized that satisfactory arrangement by being less than neutral on occasion. Im sure you wont make the same mistake.
On a personal note, I am glad to see you renovating the place. I grew up on Freeport 10 until my late teens and my parents still live there, when they are around anyway. If there is anyway we may be of assistance, you have but to ask.
You're correct I think in believing the location of Freeport 10 to be one ideally suited for commerce. Albeit not the kind most of the major Houses would appreciate. Still, most of Tau space is not House space, despite efforts to the contrary.
The Independent Miners Guild welcomes the opportunity for establishing a few trade relations. If your biodomes start producing a surplus, I know a mining station or two that'll take it off of your hands. I'd also advise making an overture to the Outcasts - for frankly, you're living on their doorstep in Ten. That us miners couldn't come to an agreement with them is one of the reasons the Freeport has an extensive medical bay. A well used one. I would know, I've been treated there myself on one occasion.
Incidentally, if you are a tradesman at heart, with no love for the houses, I might have some opportunities for you. But that might best be for another time and channel. For now, best of luck with your venture.
Regards,
- Johnathan Sanders, on behalf of the Independent Miners Guild
