If it comes to pure, close-combat strength... Rheinland BS. As it has the most hull, most Bots, a good power core and lots of turrets firing forward (16, I think). But not all of those turrets will be able to fire after a while, since your powercore doesn't provide enough energy for them.
If you involve a bit more movement Kusari BS. Strafing sideways makes you a hard target, even with that big ship. Just don't let the enemy come from the sides and you will crush them with those highly efficient Kusari Turrets. Though the turret arcs on that ship suck, it still has a lot of turrets facing forward (11, if I'm not mistaken), enough to use all the energy regeneration and your supplies. It also has a very good armor and among the highest bot/bats count.
If it comes to a lot of movement, tactics etc. Osiris. Beats every other ship if flown right in my opinion. Just stay on long range, pulse and mortar them to their graves.
But, there are still others, which I'm not really sure about their strength. Like the Liberty Dread, which I think is almost as good as the Osiris, being slim, having a medium core and still being very maneuverable. But it lacks some weaponslots to use that core if you go into closer combat.
And you shouldn't forget about the Bretonia BS. That lovely fish can pack quite a punch if the right pilot is flying it. Again you will have to rely on movement, evading and longrange combat, as your hull won't stand long against anything heavier. And almost all enemies ARE heavier. Still a beautiful and powerfull ship. Good evading skills, but not as good as a Dread and even further off from the Osiris in my opinion.
Then there's the Marduk. Big. Bulky. A beast of no match. I have never flown it - ... wait, that's a lie. I used one in the event. Mh...That's probably the most powerfull ship you can get, if you go for blant close-combat-slaughter. Nothing can beat it in a one-on-one (in theory), though I haven't tested it against a (Kusari or) Rheinland BS. Would be an interesting fight, Rheinland BS vs Marduk... I think I'd still bet on the Marduk. ...I should mention it's quite "agile" for it's size, but likes to get stuck in asteroid fields. Uh, and same goes for the Kusari BS too.
It all depends on what you like to fly, your skill in that ship and of course on your enemy.
The Marduk is fail it have no Long range weapons you can kill it staying away from it. I think that Osiris is the Best of the best, sadly it is even a way too good. On second place I would add liberty dread together with Kusari BS.
The most interesting one is Kusari BS because it is the only one BS who can be effectively combining a lot Primaries, cool side movement and a lot of secondary turrets/solaris to shoot off effectively backwards at the bomber swarm. The arcs of the ship are actually quite good if you use them right.

The Osiris is the most deadliest in a 1v1 situation can beat any battleship out there. Also is the only battleship that can do -50 and is maybe the most agile. The trick is to keep your distance with the osiris but has one weakness, fighting over Osiris's:D. The bigger the target the easier it is to take down unless it cruises up on you but then you just cruise to distance again:).
Its always about enemies, tactics and whatnot. In direct, gun to gun no moving encounter, Marduk / Juggy should be toughest. If you allow any moving or such, smaller wins over long distances, bigger on close combat. There aint deadliest BS ingame.
Two cruisers will ruin your day. So will gunboats. And so will two smaller battleships.
I killed a Venator in Kudessy once on DoD. Ye, he wasn't very skilled but after an hour of game of cat and mouse I managed it. It eats mortars like they are for breakfast.
Hmm. I have an osiris and all you say is true about it. I will buy a kusari bs for now and next i will buy a jinkusu.
I have already posted in ship wanted forum for a kusari bs but didnt got any rply yet. I will wait for 1 week and then i will aquire a new one.
