Codename weapons are not overpowered at all.
In fact even some of the official House Weapons are more efficent, when correctly used, then codes.
Class 10 Guns are used just for show and are well balanced.

Yes, Solarises, Dulzians, Phoenixes and so on, are okay. Even Hammerfalls and Jades are somewhat balanced (the thing is, that 3.03 faction guns suck). But don't try to tell me that Ragnaroks, Golden Blades etc are "well balanced". A 2.00 codename with 1250+ damage and 650m/s is everything, but balanced. Also, let's not forget about Excaliburs and Heimdalls. 2.00 Codenames with 1390 damage.
Yes, you can only mount 4 of them, but to be honest, a sabre with 3 debs and -only- 4 golden blades is overpowered enough.
I remember a discussion on the forums about civilian weapons. I was asking for some decent guns for open use, but people were like "soru, they are civilian, means they must suck". But then my question is, what are codenames? Civilian 2.00's and 3.03's, that's what they are.
No changes to Delta I'm aware of - but the Omicrons aren't really my department.
Update: Well, we're definately in the home stretch now. Busy fixing the last few issues prior to the beta. A few more infocards left to write for Gallia, but that's all under control. Omicron Minor and Zeta still need a bit of work, but that's also being handled. I've been chipping in with the infocards and working on assigning missions to bases up in the Gallic systems. Also had to tweak a few trade lanes that were vertically oriented as the game does not handle those properly - I'll be recommending we -do not- use those anymore.
Plenty of enhancement work still on the plate, but that's all on hold until the beta's out.
[edit] Civvy guns are on the wishlist, but not planned for the beta. That request popped up too late in the cycle to get that done.

Update:
Lots going on at the moment. I'm trying to pitch in wherever I can. I posted some IRP "your miningfields are here" guides for the various factions, which granted, took some time. Finished some more rumors for the various Gallic systems. All the remaining rumors are either done or being worked at. Did some bugfixing in some of the loadouts and a few icons, and old model cleanup - it's neater that way. On the SVN the 4.86 release has now passed 1000 revisions. Not that that says much..
Looks like we're well on track for that deadline. Might still be a few bugs left here and there, but that's what the beta phase will be for. Bug reporting so that we can fix em.

I just thought about few things in Gallia, sale points for mined cargo in Council bases.
Why? Because Council holds huge civilian population and large army, large enough to hold off the GRN from Champagne which might tell you a thing or two about its size. Such big civilian and military industry will require a lot of raw material.
What I mainly though of were scrap metal and copper ore.
Scrap Metal, why? Scrap metal is used in the military industry, Council will use it to build new snub ships and the occasional capital ship that they manage to salvage and wish to repair.
Copper Ore, why? At the moment copper have normal selling point in Planet Marne, Champagne. Copper is needed in the process of building ships and in the civilian industry, and as The Council would rather have their funds to be used to make the poor residents of Marne living better and to adjust their military capabilities the copper ore (which inRP, is cheaper to make copper from) is a better solution for them. It's cheaper than the normal copper (again, inRP) and that "cut in budget" will allow them to use their saved funds for other things.
Would be nice and dandy, but the copper production is not anywhere near Gallia, so no. Besides, raw ore needs to be refined, which takes time, required workers and infrastructure which the Council can task to something else. Unlawful factions generally do not take raw materials.

Update:
We're getting close to the release date now. We ran into a minor snag while inserting the rumors for the gallic guard systems - some of the numbers were already in use by the bases. It took some time to get all that sorted out. Nothing too difficult, just timeconsuming. Cannon has been playtesting some things and found a few model bugs which also have been squashed. No doubt there'll be more once the playerbase starts beta testing things, but that's what beta testing phases are for. As long as we can keep it from crashing frequently, I'm happy.
